Too bad there isn't a Good/Evil indicator in QFG, 'cause you would've hit rock bottom.
If memory serves your Honour takes a major hit if you do that or was that for something else?

You lose if you put them in a chest? That's hilarious, they murder you while you sleep.

They survive in the chest.

You die. cheesy

He was saying to me to die. Like his response to you was to die as well. I think you either read that wrong or are just being your usual self. Can't really tell too good.

Dear Silverbolt, your ™ priviliges have been revoked due to over excessive usage. Should future use of said ™ ensue, you will incur a penalty/fine of 0.000000001 dollars and/or up to a fortnight within The Hole where temperatures have been known to rise up to at least 158° Celsius. To correct this issue, you must send a fee of no less than a third to half of your Army of Mice as well as the necessary equipment needed to provide shelter, rations, weapons, and pay for up to one year. Should you disregard this fee, you will be instantly captured by way of tractor beam/teleportation device and forced to labor the Liko mines on the eight moons of Gerinax IV.

Page 381, Section B, Subsection 6.5i, Paragraph 14, Sentence 9 of the ™ Usage Manual

Sincerely,

Ralph Cerlinov, President

A fighter fighter could takeover the house of a villain he killed blackguard ,
a paladin paladin could get invited to stay at a rich guys royal winter home while taking care of things for him,
a wizard wizard could make home in a magically hidden chamber in a temple
a thief thief could either "borrow" someones home while he is away or charm a woman into letting him stay with her wub .

That would take care of the ownership issue - since most heroes don't really want to settle down anytime soon - home-ownership isn't really them :hero: .
Also, that would save the hero a lot of money and instead of another "thing to buy" the house would become the award for completing a sub-plot mission.

Why do you need to buy a house? Your friends could just give you one like they did in QFG 2 and 3. You got a free apartment in 2, and a free apartment + smelly hut in three!

My point exactly, but make it a bit more interesting and/or humorous.

Why not have a quest attached to a house? Perhaps it's a haunted house that's abandoned in the corner of town.... You receive the deed from the local authorities and head inside. Maybe it's filled with ghosts, and you have to 'clean it out' (for Oblivion fans [and I know there are some on this board] think of the Anvil house)

I also thought of this, but it may be too class-specific: You head into the house, which is covered in cobwebs and dust. You head into the basement cause you see a light coming from there. You head down and find the Thieve's Guild! The Guild has been spreading rumors about the 'haunted' house to keep normal civillians away from it. (This would actually be kinda cool if you stole the deed and keys from the Sheriff's office, or just picked the lock yourself)

Maybe the Paladin's house could be built over a gate to hell, and he has to close it before he can use his new crib.
