Considering that this game is meant for people of all ages to play, yes, it's a bit too gruesome to use, but I suppose some modifications could be made if that idea were used.

In Honor of Monty Python and the refrence to it in QG1, we could have a quest to seek the Holy Grail. That could be like the "Black Bird" from QG.

Sounds good, but what item do you have in mind? Perhaps we should use something else instead of the Black Bird in order to make that quest distinctive.

I meant more along the lines of there being a FAKE Holy Grail that has some purpose...

Fake Holy Grail? Could you please elaborate? I'm not sure how that would fit the game. What story purpose would there be for going after a fake treasure?

Maybe there were several fakes of the Grail made, and the Hero keeps running into them, then finally in Hero10, he disc- on second though, that wouldn't work. rolleyes

There doesn't have to really be any purpose to it. Just as the Black Bird really doesn't have any purpose in the games, it could just be a fun Easter Egg.

The thing about the Black Bird is that it had some story purpose in QG5. It was the prize that determined who would be the next Chief Thief.

The easter egg idea sounds cool though.

I wish that the Black Bird had an actual purpose in QFG4  Sad

Didn't the hero steal it then give it to that guy from QFG5?  (The guy from the parrot inn, however it turns out that the bird in QFG2 was a fake)

No, you steal it from Khaveen, actually. It's a fake, though.

Ok, both of you seem to be talking about slightly different things here.

Pwincess is saying that the Hero stole the Black Bird, and then gave it to Ferrari, the owner of the Dead Parrot Inn.

Corsair5 is saying that the Hero stole it from Khaveen.

Both are correct.

At the time, however, Ferrari isn't in Silmaria. He's currently in Rasier, at the Blue Parrot. I'm not sure if he was the owner or just a patron.

And where is the Blackbird in QFG4?

Oh, wait. It's in the basement of the Monastery, right?
