This is one that I've been curious about for quite some time...

I saw 'Neverwinter Nights' and I clicked on gaining experience because I like NWN, but I suppose both methods can work out quite nicely.

Since there are only two options, I say gaining experience. Although, I like both ways. Smiley

I have to agree, I prefer gaining experience to scoring points

I like how Morrowind did it.  Morrowind didn't have either really. Whenever you used one of you skills you gain experience in that skill.  When you had enough experience in a given skill it would improve.  When you gained 10 skill points in your primary skills your character would level up and you could assign points to your atributes.  each skills an attribute it is realated to.  If several of the skill points gained during a level related to a particular attribute  you could improve that attibute more.

The only thing I didn't like about that system, was that there wasn't a single skill that had Luck as it's attribute(then again, that might would have made the game too easy Tongue ). <_<

I prefer the point system, simply because it's more realistic.
