(Part 16 - A Shady Spy Revisted)
[/u]
* Dmitri pulls out his sword, turns the shade over, and ignites his blade.
<Dmitri> Do you know what this is? This is a blade of the Holy knights. Now talk, or you will suffer a hundred years of torment before I release you to death.
* Jafar catches up with Dmitri and the shade
<Dmitri> Not that it would make much of a difference to you. That can be arranged.. However..
* Dmitri drags his dagger out of the shade.
<Dmitri> Do you realise what this sword will do to you if I were to jam it into your heart? Or what's left of it, anyway...
<Jigen> Kill you maybe
<Dmitri> It will take your soul into the blade.. And the only thing you will feel for the next hundred thousand years is the heat of fire and the feeling of blood spurting over my sword.
<Jigen> He gets the idea Dimmy
<Dmitri> Unless you talk.
<Shade> Go ahead. I ain't talking
<Dmitri> Stubborn, aren't you? Hey, Drak! Get to work on this guy.
<Jigen> Anyone have a more intelligent idea to make this thing spill the beans? Otherwise let's just whack him and get on with it
<Drakken> He's a shade? Why don't we threaten to expose him to a lot of light?
<Jigen> Will that work?
<Dmitri> Light up a torch, I have an idea.
<Jigen> You mean Drak had the idea
<Dmitri> I was going to jam it into his eyes and leave it there until he talks. It was an adaptation.
<Jigen> Whatever
<Drakken> We could take it with us. It's a shade, so most of my poisons and drugs wouldn't work on it. Although, I've never seen a shade act like this... Any idea specifically what it is?
<Jigen> So what are we doing with our prisoner?
<Dmitri> We can't take it with us. Not without endangering the operation in Kalimdor.
* Dmitri winks at the rest of the party.
<Shade> What are you talking about?
<Dmitri> As if I'd tell you, Ghostboy.
* Dmitri jams his dagger into the Shade's belly and drags it across.
<Dmitri> Normally, I wouldn't do that, but lives are at stake. Talk.
* Shade winces, but still refuses to talk
<Dmitri> I wonder what happens if I cut a ghosts skull open and scoop out his brains. Nah..
<Deekin> That paladin is strange
<Dmitri> There are lives at stake, Deek.
<Linu> That's just so morbid
<Drakken> Yeah, I think he won the title a raffle.
* Dmitri drags his dagger upwards, then sideways, then downwards,
cutting a panel of ghostlike flesh out.
<Jigen> It would explain a lot
<Dmitri> I don't enjoy this!
<Jigen> Liar!
<Dmitri> But I'm not letting some people die because this scum won't talk.
* Linu turns away, disgusted
* Deekin starts scribbling in his scroll
<Tomi_Undergallows> Let me handle this guy, Dmitri.
<Dmitri> Okay...
<Drakken> Hmm... Actually, now that I think about it... Shade-thing... are you able to feel any pain?
<Shade> Not much, since I'm ethereal
<Tomi_Undergallows> I'll cry.
<Shade> Yeah, that'll make me talk
<Drakken> Okay, then you wouldn't mind if I do this...
<Tomi_Undergallows> Yep. In front of your friends, in front of any girls you like, all because you won't be my friend. So just tell me! Oh, fine..
* Tomi_Undergallows buries his Kukri in the Shade's head.
<Dmitri> Tomi!
<Dmitri> You idiot!
<Jigen> Just kill it already
* Shade dies
<Drakken> Hmmm... I actually thought I could have done something...
<Jigen> God, can we get on with the water part of the quest again
<Dmitri> Too late now..
* Shade leaves behind a note as his corpse distintergrates away
* Dmitri picks up the note and reads it.
<DungeonMistress> It reads "I am placing you in charge of following the group which killed one of my spies. Make sure they don't get the cure. Do not fail me. Signed, The Mistress."
<Jigen> He kept that?
<Dmitri> I hope the "Mistress" isn't Lady Sylvanas.
<Jigen> Must have needed a memory jogger. 'Now what am I not supposed to do again... oh yeah Fail, I can't fail that's right'
<Dmitri> Time for me to go. Good luck getting the Fountain Water back.
<Linu> We still don't know who the shade was working for
* Dmitri pulls a cloak out of his pack and puts it on.
<Linu> We're no better than we first started
<Drakken> He was working for the Mistress, duh.
* Drakken grins
<Jigen> Yeah how many of those can there be
<Dmitri> I have a feeling that it isn't Sylvanas.
<Jafar> We just need to find one with a capital M, right?
* Linu scratches her chin
<Jigen> We can swap theories on the way people, let's roll
<Dmitri> If I had to guess, I'd say it was someone working for the Lich-King.
<Jigen> Less talk more walk
<Dmitri> Now..I need to get going. It's a long trek from here to the Undercity.
<Drakken> Well, at least we know it's female, that eliminates roughly half the people in the universe.
<Dmitri> Unless it's a crossdresser.
<Jigen> Well that's a good start. They tend to prefer names like 'Fifi'. Or Raquel
<Deekin> Deekin can breathes fire
<Drakken> Or Dmitri
<Jigen> I know and it looked COOL
* Deekin smiles
<Dmitri> Deekin, there's something i have to tell you. Drakken is your father.
<Jigen> Confess your love later, now we move
<Deekin> Urm, huh?
<Dmitri> It's true. Look at him.
<Jigen> Can you say RANDOM?
<Dmitri> He's totally your dad.
* Jafar looks at them
* Freswinn | "Excuse me," says a man who steps out through the brush, holding a sword that extends 6 feet in total, half devoted to the blade and half to the hilt, "but I recognize the clothing. Would you happen to know where the Adventurer's Guild is? Or are we not close to a town?"
<Jafar> .....
<Drakken> Just ignore him, his panties are riding up on him again.
<Dmitri> He's certainly logng winded..
<Deekin> Ok Boss
<Jigen> What's that man?
<Deekin> Deekin was about to ask same question
<Jigen> Adventurers guild, we don't know, we're not from around these parts
<Linu> Who are you?
<Dmitri> And what is that thing?
* Dmitri points at the huge sword.
* Freswinn | "I see. I'm Freswinn the G--" He stops himself from his habit. "Freswinn. I've been wandering for awhile, and I'm fairly short on rations as I skimped on my wildlife survival classes a bit."
<Deekin> Ooh, big shiney sword!
* Deekin approaches Freswinn and examines sword
<Jafar> How can you even hold it?
<Drakken> Hmm... oversized sword. One of those bizarre anime creatures, eh?
<Dmitri> If you'll excuse me, I have an undead nation to infiltrate, and a Banshee to speak to.
<Deekin> Erm, no. Me can't do that
* Dmitri slips off into the forest.
* Tomi_Undergallows sneaks around behind Freswinn.
* Freswinn | "Oh, this?" He holds up the fairly narrow sword with the counterweight at the butt of the hilt, and draws the sheath up a bit. "It is a weapon that takes practise, but its versatility always proves astounding."
* Tomi_Undergallows slips his hand towards Freswinn's money pouch.
* Tomi_Undergallows sticks his hand in the pouch.
* Freswinn | The pouch begins to move, and his eyes narrow, gripping the sword at the hilt and striking the butt back behind him, then turning on his heel and twisting the sheathed blade around to strike whatever is trying to take his money.
<Linu> Looks like Tomi's losing his touch
* Tomi_Undergallows slips his hand out and jumps back.
<Tomi_Undergallows> Ah, 'ello, mate! What can Tomi be doin' for yeh?
* Freswinn | He grins. "I roomed with a thief. It will take more than that."
<Tomi_Undergallows> I aint sure what you're talkin' about, but okay.
* Jafar chuckles
<Jafar> I think you're getting too old for thievery
<Linu> Now, I say we get back as soon as possible. We have a city to save
* Freswinn | He turns his head to listen, straightening the sword to his side to be used as a cane as he usually did. "An entire city, you say?"
<Linu> Yes
<Tomi_Undergallows> They won't let me auction off cure for a certain disease.
<Jafar> It's a slightly long story
<Linu> Who knows how many have already fallen while we stand here and chat
* Freswinn | "I see." He sighs. "Down on my luck as I am, I'm willing to give you my help for rations."
* Linu smiles
<Drakken> We have some dead necromancers you can eat.
<Linu> I would have offered you rations even without the assistance, but we'll need the extra help
<Tomi_Undergallows> Drak, mate, I don't think 'e was looking for cannabalism.
<Linu> Thank you
* Linu passes Freswinn a ration
* Freswinn | He nods and immediately begins to eat it, motioning towards them that they can continue moving.
<Tomi_Undergallows> Eh? Where'd Dimmy go?
<Linu> Now, Drakken, I think we'll need to walk back undetected, if you catch my drift
* Deekin looks around, scratching his head
<Drakken> seems reasonable
* Drakken casts mass cameleon
<Linu> Thank you
<Drakken> It's not as good as invisibility, but it lasts longer and isn't as easily dispelled
* Freswinn | He sighs. "It's always so uncomfortable not to be able to see yourself. Oh well."
<DungeonMistress> The group walk back to the human encampment undetected
<Paladin_Lionel_Ironfist> You're back. Got the cure, I take it?
<Jaina_Proudmoore> Are these the people investigating the plague?
<Paladin_Lionel_Ironfist> Aye, my lady
<Jaina_Proudmoore> Greetings
<Drakken> You've hired one of the best, so yes, we got what we were sent to get.
<Jaina_Proudmoore> I'm Jaina Proudmoore, one of the leaders of the Alliance
* Freswinn | He bows his head respectfully.
<spy_of_Aarin_Gend> That's wonderful! I'm suppose to deliver the cure back to Aarin Gend on your behalf
<Drakken> Um... shouldn't we just take it to him ourselves?
<spy_of_Aarin_Gend> You could, but don't you also have to discover who's behind this? It'll save you the trip back and forth. Just hand it over and I'll do it
* Jigen looks at Proudmore
<Jafar> Well, I think one of us should go with you
<Jigen> Do you trust him?
<Tomi_Undergallows> 'ow about we send Deekin?
<Jaina_Proudmoore> Honestly, I don't know him at all to comment
<Tomi_Undergallows> Or Linu?
<Jigen> Or Dimitri?
<Drakken> As one well trained in the arts of deception, no. I have no idea who this is.
* spy_of_Aarin_Gend sighs
<Tomi_Undergallows> Dmitri is way back in the forest, in case you didn't notice.
<spy_of_Aarin_Gend> I guess you can't fault a man for being careful
<Jigen> I did wonder where the smell went
<spy_of_Aarin_Gend> Very well then. You can follow me back to Neverwinter
<Drakken> yeah, send the henchmen with him
<Jigen> Or we could be REALLY paranoid and insist on finding our own way
<Tomi_Undergallows> Naw!
<spy_of_Aarin_Gend> I'm hurt... Nobody ever trusts me!
<Jigen> It's only because we don't know you
<Tomi_Undergallows> I have a good idea.
<spy_of_Aarin_Gend> Just.. leave me alone, k?
* spy_of_Aarin_Gend sulks in a corner
<Tomi_Undergallows> How about you empty out that really plump moneybag, and then we'll let you take the vials.
<Jigen> SO it's back to Neverwinter then?
<Tomi_Undergallows> Why do they call it Neverwinter anyway?
<Drakken> I don't see why we need to stay here.
<Tomi_Undergallows> It's always winter!
<Jigen> Sarcastic humour
<Drakken> Because the city is warm. All the time. It's enchanted
<Tomi_Undergallows> Yeah, right.. Have you ever been there? The place is a frozen ****le!
<Deekin> Oh, you heard about the story, Drakken?
<Drakken> Yes, stupid
<Jigen> Yeah, when we picked you up remember?
* Freswinn | "Any hero should have the right to doubt the intentions of another. Those who blindly trust any who they come into contact with are found quite often swimming with the Rusalka." He peers around briefly and mutters about having read that somewhere.
<Tomi_Undergallows> Words to live by, Fres mate.
<Drakken> Yes, that's why I'm alive and many other adventurers aren't.
<Jigen> Like Dimitri
<Jaina_Proudmoore> Ok then. I'll prepare a portal for you to get back, but something tells me that your work here isn't done yet, so don't take too long
<Tomi_Undergallows> I'll go!
<Jigen> Bye, have fun!
<Tomi_Undergallows> I had some unfinished business in Neverwinter anyway..
* Freswinn | "Take care. Or at least, more than you did with me."
<Tomi_Undergallows> I am off to the Silver Chalice..doo doo dooo...Moneybags a clinking! Finally, struck it rich! Got all the vials..off to the Silver Chalice to auction 'em off.. Oh..I said that out loud.
<Linu> I'm coming along. Somehow I don't trust you
<Jafar> Gee, I wonder why?
<Tomi_Undergallows> Shikshiakin..
<Jigen> He did get the dummy vials full of ordinary water, right?
* Freswinn | "Thieves have dangerous senses of humor." He shakes his head and grins.

Undead_Patrol, Danielle_Deathrose, Balhaar - played by Swift
Hidden_Observer - played by Striker
Chapter 5 (Part 17) - The Banshee Dark Ranger
<DungeonMistress> While the other Heroes are making preparations to return to Neverwinter, Dmitri is heading towards Undercity
<Dmitri> Smells like a garbage pit....
<Undead_Patrol> State your business
<Dmitri> I come from the city of Darkshore, in Azeroth. I have important information for the Dark Lady. So let me pass, fools. Or I'll see to it personally that Varimathras tears you limb..from limb.
* Undead_Patrol gulps
<Undead_Patrol> Right, this way. Off you go
<Dmitri> Excellent. I knew you'd understand.
* Dmitri follows the patrol.
* Dmitri thinks "Lucky I read that book on Recent Historic Events in this world.
* Danielle_Deathrose approaches Dmitri and the patrol
<Undead_Patrol> Greetings, my Lady
* Undead_Patrol bows
* Dmitri "Uh oh..A Banshee?"
<Undead_Patrol> This... gentleman requests an audience with the Mistress
* Dmitri bows.
<Danielle_Deathrose> You are dismissed. I'll take him there
<Undead_Patrol> Yes, my Lady
* Undead_Patrol leaves
* Danielle_Deathrose leads Dmitri deeper into Undercity, and then into a room and ambushes him
<Dmitri> Yaaagh!
* Danielle_Deathrose takes a knife to his throat
<Dmitri> Not much of a reception, is this?
<Danielle_Deathrose> Sylvannus is away on a personal errand. Not that's important to you
<Dmitri> I was unaware.
<Danielle_Deathrose> I know who you are and what you're trying to do. My shades saw you with those heathens
<Dmitri> Of course. I know they did. Your incompetent Shades are fairly idiotic, however.
* Danielle_Deathrose brings the knife closer to his throat
<Danielle_Deathrose> You want to get cocky now, betrayer?
<Dmitri> Betrayer? Not in the slightest. I have secured a powerful magical artifact from them, as well as gathered valuable information.
* Dmitri reaches under his cloak and mail and pulls out the Eye Amulet.
<Dmitri> See?
<Danielle_Deathrose> So that's how you saw my spies
<Dmitri> Yes.
* Hidden_Observer readies a dart
<Dmitri> I'm sure you can put that to good use.
<Danielle_Deathrose> It doesn't interest me very much
<Dmitri> Lies. You're very interested in it, don't lie, Lady.
<Danielle_Deathrose> My shades can see invisible enemies. I have no use for that trinket
<Dmitri> Yes, but I'm sure you can analyze the magic within it to make your shades invisible to such magics.
<Danielle_Deathrose> I know you helped foil MY attempts at spreading the plague!
<Dmitri> I had nothing to do with it.
<Danielle_Deathrose> Yes, it was MY PLAN you ruined! You helped them get the cure!
<Dmitri> I played along to gather the information and get that little trinket. My involvement changed nothing.
* Dmitri grips the hilt of his sword.
<Danielle_Deathrose> And what information did you get that could possibly be of use?
<Dmitri> I know precisely how the Archmages of Azeroth activate their portals, how to reverse them in on themselves, or change the destination.
<Danielle_Deathrose> You're lying
<Dmitri> Am I?
<Danielle_Deathrose> And even if you did know, these have hardly any effect on my ultimate plan
<Dmitri> Let me guess.. You want to overthrow Lady Sylvanas as the Queen of the Forsaken.
<Danielle_Deathrose> NO! I'll never betray my Queen!
<Dmitri> Liar.
<Danielle_Deathrose> No, my plan is far greater and noblier than anything you can imagine
<Dmitri> Of course... It's either overthrowing Sylvanas or just destroying all of Humankind. Or both, maybe.
<Danielle_Deathrose> With every death by the plague, Balshaar, my enslaved demon, grows stronger, which makes me grow stronger
<Dmitri> You're out of your mind. And what is the purpose of this? You need this power, why?
<Danielle_Deathrose> Once we've collected enough souls, Balshaar will be able to grant us another chance at being alive again, and immortal!
<Dmitri> You fool.
<Danielle_Deathrose> No more being trapped in this undead body!
<Dmitri> You actually think that demon is being honest? It's a demon, you silly girl.
<Danielle_Deathrose> It has to be in order to be alive... I control him now
<Dmitri> Yes, of course..
<Danielle_Deathrose> My artifact binds him to me. He has no say in the matter, and Mistress will be pleased once she knows what I have done for her!
<Dmitri> No, she won't..
<Danielle_Deathrose> Shut up, you!
<Dmitri> Or? You'll kill me? I'm already dead. Go ahead, slit my throat. It's not as though anything flows in my veins in the first place.
<Danielle_Deathrose> You could have had a chance of being alive again, but noooo.... you helped those heathens foil my plans!
<Dmitri> But at what cost, dear lady?
<Danielle_Deathrose> I could throw you into the pits of Hell itself to suffer for all eternity, but you would be far more useful to me alive...
<Dmitri> Oh? How so?
<Danielle_Deathrose> I have a message for you to bring to your friends
<Dmitri> Go on.
<Danielle_Deathrose> You all are to meet me in the Neverwinter Crypt. No backup
<Dmitri> For what purpose? Negotiation?
<Danielle_Deathrose> You'll soon find out
* Danielle_Deathrose smiles wickedly
* Danielle_Deathrose paralyzes Dmitri and sends him back to Neverwinter
<Dmitri> Errgh...
* Dmitri shakes off the paralysis.
* Dmitri stands up and begins making his way to Castle Never.
* Hidden_Observer casts detect creature and sneaks off, following Darkrose
* Danielle_Deathrose makes her way to her secret chambers
<Balhaar> Yes, mistress?
<Danielle_Deathrose> Just checking on you. Know that I have power over you, so don't you even think of betraying me
* Danielle_Deathrose dangles the artifact in front of him. Balshaar is unable to reach it
<Danielle_Deathrose> I have some Heroes for you to kill. Their souls will surely be stronger than the pathethic peasants in Neverwinter
<Danielle_Deathrose> Which brings us closer to our goals
<Balhaar> Your will be done, Mistress
* Balhaar grits teeth

Chapter 6 (part 18): Back to Neverwinter
<DungeonMistress> Jafar and co. make it back to Neverwinter
<Lord_Nasher> This had better be worth my time
<Lord_Nasher> What brings you here?
* Dmitri stumbles up the path towards Castle Never.
* Dmitri shoves the door into the throne room open
<Dmitri> Stupid banshee doesn't have a clue how to do a proper teleportation...I think I left something behind.
<Jafar> We have a cure!
* Aarin_Gend 's eyes lit up
<Aarin_Gend> Splendid! I knew you'd succeed
* Dmitri pushes past the guards and shoves open the door into the Throne Room.
* Jafar turns around
<Lord_Nasher> (she didn't really threaten him with anything if he chooses to disobey her, but there's an implication that she'll find a way to harm him if he does so)
<Jafar> Dmitri?
* Lord_Nasher looks up with disbelief on his face
<Dmitri> Yeah, hi.
<Lord_Nasher> Cure?
<Lord_Nasher> You actually have it with you?
<Lord_Nasher> And who's that rif-raf who just barged into my throne room?!
<Jafar> What happened to YOU?
* Lord_Nasher glares at Dmitri
<Dmitri> Bad teleportation meets a crazy banshee with a dagger.
<Aarin_Gend> Come again?
<Dmitri> I had slipped into the territory of what's known as the Forsaken Dead, hoping to gather information about the source of this plague.
<Aarin_Gend> Go on
<Dmitri> Apparently, some Shades had spotted me with our little adventuring party, and they put two and two together. The guards delivered me to some lunatic banshee named Danielle Deathrose, I think.
<Dmitri> She took me down into the lower levels, then ambushed me, I didn't exactly have a chance to do anything.
<Dmitri> She decided to give me a Villain's Exposition, and revealed herself as the source of the plague. Apparently, she's using the plague and some Demon as a sort of battery to power her return to life.
<Dmitri> Real nice lady.
* Aarin_Gend looks grave
<Aarin_Gend> Why did she tell you all this? What did she want?
<Dmitri> Apparently, she wants myself and Jafar's little adventuring party to head to the Neverwinter Crypt, apparently she'll be there.
<Dmitri> Don't ask me to explain it, I'm just a messenger.
<Dmitri> And, yes, I know, the Crypt is probably a trap.
<Lord_Nasher> So she's the one responsible?
<Dmitri> Unless she's just taking credit, yes.
<Lord_Nasher> If I were younger, I'd go there myself and face her!
* Lord_Nasher slams his fist against the arm of his chair
<Dmitri> I'm sure she hasn't reckoned with a pair of Paladins, sir.
<Lord_Nasher> I want you to go there and finish her off
<Dmitri> With pleasure. I loathe Demonists.
<Jafar> We should be able to handle her
<Lord_Nasher> Good.
<Lord_Nasher> Now go.
<Aarin_Gend> Now, about the cure you mentioned...
<Dmitri> Jafar, you have the vials?
<Dmitri> Well, you and Linu.
<Linu> I'll take them to the patients
<Linu> I won't be able to join you to face her. The people need the cure, and I'll administor it to them
<Linu> Good luck
<Jafar> Thanks
<Dmitri> You too.
<Linu> May Sendine Moonbow watch over you
<Dmitri> Remember, Jafar, watch that dagger. I swear, she moved so fast, I didn't even have enough time to grab my hilt, much less draw the blade proper.
* Linu blesses the group, then bids them farewell. Linu leaves the room after that
<Deekin> Deekin follow yous to crypt!
<Dmitri> It could be dangerous, little guy, are you sure?
<Deekin> Huzzah!
<Deekin> Deekin can handle its
<Dmitri> Well, this will make an interesting chapter of the tale.
<Jafar> Thanks, Deek
<Jafar> So, are we ready?
<Deekin> Huzzah!
<Dmitri> No sense delaying, the woman doesn't need extra time to prepare for our arrival.
<DungeonMistress> You make your way to Neverwinter's Crypt
<Deekin> Ermm... Boss?
<Dmitri> All ready, people?
<Jafar> Yes?
* Dmitri reaches out his left arm and flexes it. A triangular silver shield takes form, already firmly held at elbow and hand grips.
<Deekin> Deekin wonders if we'll survive this... what ifs banshee too powerful?
<Dmitri> If it looks like me and Jafar are going to go down, run. After all, the play must go on.
* Deekin nods
<Jafar> Don't worry about it
<Deekin> Ok then
<Jafar> Good always triumphs over evil
* Dmitri grips the door with his free hand and tugs it open.
<Jafar> Besides, we outnumber her
* Dmitri draws his sword.
* Jafar draws his sword
<Deekin> Good speech, Boss
* Deekin readies his crossbow
* Dmitri begins walking down the steps, his blade at the ready.

Chapter 6 (Part 19) -- The Finale
[/u]
<Danielle_Deathrose> You don't disappoint
<Dmitri> There you are, Banshee woman.
<Danielle_Deathrose> Balhaar, kill them all
<Dmitri> Oh.
<Dmitri> Crap.
<Balhaar> Yes, Mistress
<Dmitri> Daemon!
* Balhaar reluctantly charges forward at the adventurers, summoning a ring of fire to trap them
<Dmitri> Well, this'll give Devon Aidendale a run for his money.
* Dmitri jabs at Balhaar's eyes.
* Deekin attempts to sing
* Balhaar blocks Dmitri's blow
<Dmitri> Figures.
* Danielle_Deathrose casts silence on Deekin
<Deekin> ...
<Dmitri> Curse you, woman!
* Danielle_Deathrose laughs
* Dmitri hacks at Balhaar's belly.
<Jafar> Any last minute ideas?
<Dmitri> Kill them, maybe?
<Dmitri> Not again!
<Jafar> Well, we need a bit more detail...
* Balhaar fires an inferno at Dmitri and Jafar
* Dmitri lets out an unearthly scream as his flesh begins to melt in runny threads.
<Dmitri> Da..damn it.
* Dmitri stumbles backwards.
* Dmitri uses heal to seal up the huge bloody blisters.
* Danielle_Deathrose fingers her artifact wickedly
<Dmitri> Go back to Hell, Demon!
* Dmitri hurls his sword at Balhaar.
* Jafar charges Balhaar and slashes him
<Dmitri> May the power of Honor aid me.
* Balhaar is hardly affected by Jafar's slashing
* Dmitri murmurs out a quiet chant and casts Slay Undead at Danielle.
* Danielle_Deathrose resists the spell. She looks at Dmitri angrily and starts draining his life force
<Dmitri> Life force? I don't HAVE any life force, you stupid woman.
<Dmitri> I'm DEAD.
* Jafar uses Honor Shield and keels slashing Balhaar
<Dmitri> You gonna drain my death force?
* Dmitri grabs his sword and chucks it at Danielle.
<Dmitri> Aargh! You're not going to beat me with that parlor magic!
* Balhaar sends a telepathic message to jafar. "Get the artifact from her and destroy it if you want to live"
* Balhaar knocks Jafar down
<Jafar> oof!
* Jafar gets back up
<Jafar> Not such a bad idea, actually...
* Danielle_Deathrose pushes Dmitri aside and charms Deekin
<Dmitri> Gaargh!
* Deekin is no longer Silenced
* Dmitri slams against the wall, jarring lose some of his less than well-attached flesh.
* Jafar uses his Ring to shoot a fireball at Danielle, then charges for her
<Deekin> Deekin serves you, Mistress
* Deekin blocks Jafar
<Dmitri> Dang it, now he won't be able to tell the whole tale!
* Dmitri kicks Deekin.
* Deekin falls to the ground
<Dmitri> Sorry about that.
* Dmitri slices at Danielle's hand that clutches the Artifact.
* Danielle_Deathrose dodges aside
* Jafar tries to attack her while she's dodging
* Danielle_Deathrose is temporarily stunned
* Jafar grabs for the artifact thingy
* Deekin gets up and breathes fire at Jafar
<Danielle_Deathrose> No! It's mine!
<Dmitri> Stupid woman! Shut up!
* Dmitri attempts to tackle Danielle.
* Danielle_Deathrose silences Dmitri
<Balhaar> DESTROY IT!
* Jafar smashes the artifact
* Deekin curses the group with his curse song
<Danielle_Deathrose> NO!!!
<Dmitri> Yes.
<Balhaar> YES!
<Balhaar> Time to die, woman!
<Dmitri> Oh hell.
* Dmitri gets up and runs to the other side of the room.
<Danielle_Deathrose> You haven't seen the last of me!
* Danielle_Deathrose teleports away
<Dmitri> Oh dear.
<Balhaar> Damn
* Balhaar turns to the rest
* Deekin is no longer under Danielle's spell
<Deekin> What happened?
<Balhaar> She can't run for long. I'll get her...
<Dmitri> Eh...the Banshee hit you with a spell and you were asleep or something.
<Balhaar> Now what shall I do with you?
<Dmitri> Um, let us go?
<Balhaar> Why would I want to do that?
<Dmitri> Well, we did just release you from the control of Banshee lady.
<Dmitri> And besides, I wouldn't make a very good meal. Jafar is too thin, and Deekin is too small.
<Dmitri> It's like eating bones.
<Balhaar> I'm tempted to just kill you all now...
<Balhaar> Feast on your souls
<Balhaar> But I'll let you live for now
<Dmitri> We'd give you heartburn anyway.
<Balhaar> Next time we meet, I won't be so 'kind'
* Dmitri takes advantage of the Demon's good mood and begins slipping up the stairs.
<Balhaar> See you in Hell
<Dmitri> No, you won't.
* Balhaar disappears in an envolope of flames, leaving behind a charred floor
<Dmitri> Scumbag.
<Jafar> Phew...
<Dmitri> To say the least, that was a narrow escape.
<Deekin> Deekin scared lots
<Dmitri> You aren't the only one, I was about ready to wet myself.
<Dmitri> Never want to see a Demon Lord again.
<Deekin> Ermm... Boss?
<Deekin> Is it over?
<Jafar> It's over
<Dmitri> I hope.
<Jafar> They got away, but it's over for now
* Deekin cheers
<Dmitri> And crazy Banshee woman doesn't have control of the Devil for now.
<Deekin> Deekin now writes rest of epic!
<Deekin> Deekin has feeling it will sell lots!
<Jafar> I'd buy a copy
* Jafar grins
* Deekin smiles at Jafar
<Dmitri> Embellish slightly. Remember, we drove the Demon off back into the fiery depths from whence it came.
<Deekin> Thank you, Boss!
<Dmitri> I'd buy a copy too. Just for ego and posterity. And it saves me a lot of time when I write my memoirs.
<Deekin> Huzzah!
<Dmitri> You know, we could make a lot of money off this. The Pair o' Paladins and a Kobold Brigade.
<Dmitri> Aah, but I'm talking like Undergallows again. Or Jigen.
<DungeonMistress> You chatter on about the prospects of novelizing your epic adventure as you make your way out of the crypt.
<DungeonMistress> The End
