Because Russian uses the Cyrillic alphabet while English uses the Latin alphabet.  As I don't know the keys for the Russian letters, I prefer to spell it phonetically.

Ahhhhh good ol'cyrillic.   When I was in Russia I was always amused by the stop signs.  They say "stop" but you sure wouldn't know that to look at them... I have to admit not understanding why they use an english word, but oh well

Jafar, I'm glad you're on my side and all, but that makes no grammatical sense whatsoever.
