Not sure about that Monty show since I've never watch it, but Herocia references are definitely a must!
(And I'm not being bias)

Well you could give a reference to the creators of Hero 6 since they will all be long since dead when hero 7 is done. Heck most of them are going to long since dead when hero 6 is done. So why not have a graveyard with real shots of the members grave stones?

You know, If this were my forum, I'd ban this guy for a week, just because he annoys me. But it isn't my forum. Pity. When you have something constructive to say, Jason, say it. And don't say that you actually thought it would be a good idea, because the subtext of your sentence says that the game won't be finished this decade. Guess what, Jason? They're practically DONE. Nearing Alpha phase! Bug Testing! Geez.
Okay, back on topic from my rant.
Have some secret little QFG references, like the "Dragon's Breath" at the tavern.
Also, maybe a few monkey island references.
