Let me first say, the entries this year were excellent. We greatly enjoyed reading them and it was a tough choice narrowing it down. Honestly, many more than the ones below were worthy of game placement, but we didn't have room for all of them. So without further delay the Winners by vote are.... (drum roll)

In First Place- Almirena

Here lies the unfortunate Joss
Whose tomb is now covered with moss
His last tooth he swallowed
And death swiftly followed -
Though we told him and TOLD him to floss.

In Second Place- dizzcity

Here lies random enemy number one
who fell in battle to the heros fun
Tis a sad sight to see
we kill so easily
For the loot, armor, and weapons that they don.

And in Third Place- ReishVedaur

R.I.P. Somnambule
(We Hope)

Our surprise to you is that each top 3 entry will be in hero6! Congratulations to the winners and thank you so much to everyone who took the time to submit an entry.

Thanks to all who participated. Here's a consolation prize for all who took part. http://visitors.hero6.com/gallery/special/2005/Halloween/halloween.htm

This was made by ReishVedaur, with music composed by Outchanter, and flash provided by me.

Honourable Mentions

Silverbolt, for being the only one to use leet in his epitaphs.

Pidgeot and The Guy, for writing epitaphs about the AGDI Chatbot using the DeathRay on Brainiac. Two people coming up with the same type of epitaph! What are the odds?

Jafar and Corsair, for so touchingly making an epitaph about each other. Aww how sweet!

Serow_#R for writing the geekiest epitaph Hero6 has ever known!

THAT would be quite a blessing, short of making you 'something' of a god.  If that were really true, you would definately be getting my vote.  But, only if there is also the possibility of getting rid of those damned telemarketers, they remind me of spammers by phone.

It would be nice too.  We are supposed to on some list where telemarketers are not supposed to call here.  It seemed to have worked for quite a while, but as of late they seemed to have steadily crept back in.  Sneaky bums...

How to stop telemarketing: Find everyone you can who actually buys anything when a random person calls them, and then kill them. You'll be doing both society AND the gene pool a favour.

That's a remark almost terrible enough to be something I would say. I'm so proud.

You know, I couldn't agree more with you there. There is a good thing about televangelism though, it's on T.V. and I can always flip the channel. The only way it could be absolutely evil, would be if every single channel I had disappeared and the one channel left would be showing that, or if every channel showed only that. ugh

Woo-hoo - I have taken on and beaten Igor! Gravestone carvings R us.

Thank you for the honour and for the competition, which I thought was a fun idea.

Re telemarketers - this works here in Australia.

Step 1: They call.

Step 2: You answer.

Step 3: They ask for the owner of the house.

Step 4: You say, "Is this a spam call? Remember that you are obliged BY LAW to admit this if it is so."

Step 5: They admit it, even though some of them really hate admitting it and will try to talk around it.

Step 6: You put the phone receiver down next to the phone, and make yourself a cup of coffee. Hum annoyingly if you can manage that. Set an egg-timer for 2 minutes.

Step 7: You have the option of turning on your television at this point, or some elevator music.

Step 8: After two minutes, the egg-timer will ring, and you can hang up the phone.

Greetings Almirena, I must say that does sound quite entertaining. Where in the world did you hear that they have to admit it is a spam call? That's new to me. I'm quite sure I could take care of the music business, but no egg timer have I. There many other numeric counting down devices within the house, so that's a check as well. Coffee? That's an absolute must!! The real sneaky ones try to get you by acting like they know you. Rather annoying for a spamateer to call up, ask for you by your first name, & then hang up right after you say your not home and ask to take a messege. Oh crud, I almost forgot, an extremely late congratulations to you all: Almirena, dizzcity, and Reish. Also to that Bolt of Silver person in the Honorable Mentions area.
