Morrowind pbp (in character)

OK, just to recap.  Most of the party is in a dwemer hallway (about 3.5 meters wide).  Cev is the furthest back in the hall.  Gil and Kael are standing near the doorway into a large square room (40 feet by 40 feet).  There is a large pillar in each the corner of the room.  There is a four foot high railing which forms a square in the center of the room.  It is about 7 feet from the doorway to the nearest portion of the railing.  Duk is on his hands and knees on the floor just inside the room.  About five feet to his left a redguard and an imperial are deep in conversation.  About halfway down the railing running parallel to the right-side wall is a nord peering over the railing towards the center of the room.  In the far left corner another nord and a Breton are in conversation.  The Breton is tying a rope to the column.

Du'kair slid along the wall, avoiding the Redguard and Imperial as much as he can. He knew the Breton was the easiest target. Kill the Breton, and the whole group would turn their backs on Cev, Kael, and Gilly, making them easy targets.

Then again, he didn't know for a fact these were his enemy.

He crept up behind the Breton slowly and surely, then whipped out his dagger and grabbed the man from behind. The dagger danced, the point against the man's throat.

"Why do you pillage and loot the rightful property of Emperor Uriel Septim VII and King Helseth of Morrowind?" He whispered into the man's ear.

"If you scream, I will cut your throat."

Kael hangs back near the doorway, hands tight around his spear, stomach a little light with anticipation.

He mutters under his breath: "If Duk screws up, we're going in."

The breton didn't need to yell.  The nord who was with the yelled loud enough for everyone to hear.  All the occupants of the room looked over to the corner in which they stood.  The other nord than turn to the door and saw those watching them and called out to the redguard and imperial as he ran towards the door.  At the sametime the Breton gently reached back and touched Duk.  There is a flash of green light from his hand and Duk suddenly realizes he can no longer move.  The Breton spins away from Duk.  His is frowning in a most unfriendly way.

[Reish Vedaur]

"Bravo," mutters Cevinom under his breath.  "Go, now!"  He moves quickly down the hall towards the doorway, rapier held at the ready in his right hand.

[serow]

"Rush them Gil!" shouts Kael, briefly pointing the blunt end of his spear at the Redguard/Imperial pair near the door.

A faint glimmer of blue flashes through Kael's eyes as he uses [Enhance Ability] to gain a boost to his strength and agility. Kael then tries to leap over and across the square formed by the railings to engage the lone Nord, business end of his spear attempting to skewer the enemy.

<do we notice that Duk was zapped by a green light?>

Du'kair yelped as the green light touched him and dodged back, pulling his dagger back as he toppled over. As the light touched him, his eyes went off, making it impossible to see whether he had killed the Breton.

Gil rushes in behind Kael.  He steps in front of the imperial and Redguard, standing in a defensive position.

As Kael jumps over the first railing he notices that the railing surrounds a hole in the floor down to the next level.  He manages to clear the far railing, but his spear misses the Nord.  The Nord's speed carries him passed the spear.  As he rushes foreward he lowers his shoulder delivering a solid hit to Kael.  The impact sends Kael spralling back two meters, leaving him sitting on the ground with his feet in front of him.  The Nord has stopped where he hit Kael, a claymore held in a defensive position.

The Breton expected Duk's reaction and his hand was already moving to restrain Duk's wrist when Duk began to jerk back.  He easily spun away from Duk as his assailant went limp.  The large nord by the Breton stepped over Duk's collapsed form with his sword pointed down.  "HOLD!" he bellowed.

Without ever breaking stride, Cevinom takes wide steady steps, comes through the doorway, raises his left hand and casts Flame Pulse at the Nord, turns, and raises his rapier straight up to level with the Breton's heart as he advances on him.

Du'kair, despite being in a bit of a fix, shifts to the side so the sword is pointing at bare stone rather than his ribcage.

Du moves 2cm.  The Breton and Nord chuckle at his attempt to move while under a paralysis spell.

Feeling more than a little embarassed, Kael makes use of his enhanced strength and agility by slapping his left palm on the floor to push himself up, bending his knees and jerking his body violently 180 degrees to the left.
 
He thrusts his spear almost blindly, and with very much force, towards where he last saw the lone Nord. <Improved Probability>

Kael's spear comes mirraculasly close to hitting the Nord, but he has taken a step back and is waiting for further developments.

(wah?!?! how'd that get there, sorry man I totally didn't see that post  :emb:  and here I was wondering when Cev would make a move :'( )

Cev's flame pulse hits the nord standing over Du nocking him to the side.  The Breton starts to wave his hands to cast a spell at Cev.
The Redguard and Imperial stand shoulder to shoulder between the wall and the railing to the left the door, blocking that path.  Kael is facing off with a Nord along the wall to the right.
