Hey, I was curious if anyone had any good suggestions for possible “Quest for Gloryesque” books.  Given there’s your standard issue “Harry Potter” or “LOTR”, but I was wondering if anyone was aware other good books or series with the immersion of classic mythology and the unique charm that’s in the Quest for Glory series.  I’d greatly appreciate any suggestions.

George R. R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series.

That is all. Best books ever. Better than LotR, I daresay.

I read 'A Game of Thrones' and it made LotR look both simplistic and clear. I enjoyed it, but it isn't a book for tender minds.

By all means, read "A Clash of Kings", "A Storm of Swords" and "A Feast for Crows" too.

I've had the first 3 books of that series for a couple years now and still haven't gotten around to reading them.  I hear nothing but good things about them.  Once I get done with school, I'll have to give 'em a go.
