I actually googled most names in my book before choosing them.

Damn hard, coming up with names for a non-fanfic!!!

That, I've never had a problem with.  I've always been good at it.  However...

Reish: Common misspelling of the word "resh," which is a Hebrew letter.
Jintao: President of the People's Republic of China; never heard of him 'til I looked him up.
Pakiti: Means "pack of cigarettes" in swahili.
Tyven: Means either 20 or 200 in... I can't remember what language.
D'esquille: Literally means "of shards" in french.
Kereo: Has something to do with german/dutch cars.
Repetio: Means "repeating," and is apparently a repeated spelling of the word in the Bible.

I've actually got 200+ characters... It's a little obnoxious at times, lol.

I always liked inverting words for character names.

Like Kadis? Or Athar? Or Du'kair? (Haven't used that one in a while.) or Ciavil? I am a freaking naming machine. I can stamp out a name in twelve seconds flat.

Give me a letter series with at least 3 consanants and a vowel and I can make a name out of it.
