The Hero6 Project / Future Hero6 Projects / Weapons System

In addition you could have some extra weapons in there that are magic and that can be defined as multiple categories (such as a dagger that can morph into a sword in combat), and would be really hard to find.
For equiping them, I'd say allow the character to equip 2 weapons at one time. That way a thief could toss daggers at his foes until they get close, and then switch to his short sword.
And, of course, make it so that some weapons can only be used by certain classes. If you find a Fire Sword, but you're only a thief, you can't equip it, so you have to sell it.

The Hero6 Project / Future Hero6 Projects / New Character Class?
|

Well, if you're going to talk about combined classes, I have one: Fighter/Wizard = Enchanter Basically, a wizard who believes the mind is useless without the body, too (or a fighter who actually had a brain and finds a magic book). They have magic and muscle, but they're not as strong and tough as fighters or as diverse as wizards. They're able to use their magic to enchant their weapons and armor for temporary boosts and elemental abillities (yes, including Pizza ). Could be used in quest puzzles, too (well, he surrounded by a block of ice. So I'll enchant my sword for fire damage to melt it).

The Hero6 Project / Future Hero6 Projects / Monsters

Great idea for a quest monster:
Have the Pontianak appear as an "unbeatable" monster. You can beat it, but you don't get full points (think of the Spieldburg Ambush canyon in HQ1. There is a better way...). Then have a nail-like object (stake, railroad spike, empty quill pen...) somewhere and a reference to Pontianaks in a book somewhere. They can use the Pontianak to change the monster into a woman, and then proceed. Paladins could save her (duh), and wizards could learn magic from her. Fighters could even fight her for practice afterward. Thieves...don't know. Ideas?

Thanks. Glad to be back. Won't bore you with the details today. :winktongue:
Here's how I'd divide it:
____________________________ |##########|##########| |##########|##########| |###Fighter###|###Wizard##| |##########|##########| |###### ____ |____#######| |######|#######|#######| |________|##Title##|_________| |######|_________|#######| |##########|##########| |##########|##########| |###Thief####|###Paladin##| |##########|##########| |_____________|_____________|
Or something like that. My web drawing skills aren't too good. But you get what I mean...
And as for the Sherif in the middle: yeah, sounds great to me.

Been way too long since I've been around here. Don't know why I stopped...
Yeah I want one. Green and blue. Maybe with it quartered and the 4 original character classes doing what they do best (fighter slaying a monster, wizard casting a spell, thief breaking in a house / robbing someone blind, paladin protecting someone with his flaming sword).
Assuming, that is, that others want one. Otherwise, whatever you guys have time for is fine.
