3  The Hero6 Project / Offtopic Mayhem / AN ARTICLE FOR A RUSSIAN MAGAZINE! on: October 30, 2005, 04:14:59 AM
Well, Im not on the Hero6 team, but lets give them a few more seconds of working on the game while I answer...

1. When and how did you first find out about computer adventure games? When did you first play such game? What game was it? And so on...

First adventure game I played? The first one that holds a vivid memory for me would be an old game known as 'Darklands'. I was about 5 years of age when I picked it up, and for the next three years it took only the promise of money or cookies to get me off. Tongue
For those who dont know it, old medieval Germany setting, except with demons and dragons and everything of that nature- and un-nature...

2. What is your favorite adventure game? Who is your favorite character? Name? What game from?

Hmm... favorite adventure game of all time? I would have to say Morrowind, followed by the aformentioned Darklands, followed in third by the QfG series (yes, I know, QfG not being top two is blasphemy on these boards, but the truth must be told) Morrowind and darklands because of the go anywhere do anything nature of the games, and QfG was just plain fun...
Character? Hmm, this would be a bit tougher... um... well... you didnt say it had to be from an adventure game, so I pick Solid Snake from the MGS series... (MG series too, although I didnt play them Sad .) -Dont really have a favorite from an adventure game...

3. What do classic adventure games mean for you?

Fun...
...
...
...
...What?  You were expecting somthing longer for this one?

4. What do you do when you don't play adv. games or don't work on them (study, work etc.)?

Play other games... and sleep... and eat... and work... and... um... dangit... I really have no life... blink

Man.. I havnt been to this site for... how long has it been? Four years I would think... you guys have been making progress all this time as well... Im impressed... most projects are dead all to soon.

Hmm, lookin around the boards... lotsa new people... anybody from the original forums still around? Didnt see any names I recognized... though I probably just forgot um...

At any rate... good job, still lookin forward to the finished project.
12  The Hero6 Project / Hero6 Discussion / Would you audition... on: April 06, 2005, 12:25:47 AM
Hey- why not? Might be fun- and I can voice act better than I could stage-act anyway.(altough that isn't saying much) cheesy
13  The Hero6 Project / Offtopic Mayhem / Philosophy on: April 06, 2005, 12:00:18 AM
Point taken- although I would have thought my idea would allow such things to be brought to light and likely dealt with quicker.
14  The Hero6 Project / Offtopic Mayhem / Philosophy on: April 05, 2005, 08:38:08 PM
Why not do as was said- seperate child and parents- but instead of making it a compleate seperation- have the children raised by the community as a whole?- This would mean there are more people the child can trust and goto for advice should someone in the community commit a horrible act- and would slightly negate that feeling that you must protect your 'flesh and blood' because you are more likely to be loyal to the people of the community as a whole.
15  The Hero6 Project / Future Hero6 Projects / New Character Class? on: January 15, 2005, 10:01:09 PM
Just as an idea list- some things each class could turn into:

Thief:
         Assassin
         Ranger
         Acrobat

Mage:
         Sorcerer
         Druid
         Witchhunter

Warrior:
         Paladin
         Barbarian
         Archer

And for more flexability- combined caracter classes- if a player gives a lot of training to a skillset not natuaral to the class he/she is playing- I bring up this idea because when I was playing through the QFG series- I always created a magic-user, but I always trained his close combat stats so I wouldn't have to worry should I fight something up close.

Mage/Warrior: Battlemage or Spellsword
Thief/Mage: Bard orAgent
Warrior/Thief: Monk or a Nightblade

Just an idea...
