Of course, one would hope that by "get the forum running again" you didn't mean 'become a spam-bot quota dump'.
I wonder if the Powers That Be could use that one April-fools filter to make it so that the spambots were advertising 'Buy PAISLEY HORSES'. We could have a good laugh at that. And then delete the spam.
I also find it sad that one of the spambot accounts picked the moniker 'calderon', which sounds like a Jim Butcher reference. Jim Butcher an spambot shouldn't be allowed in the same post, let alone the same sentence.

That would depend entirely on the type of dragon you intend to play. One of the useless-little-dragons-that-hide-under-rocks-and-hiss-like-teakettles from The Sword in the Stone? You could probably get away with it. Shadowrun dragon? Not a chance. The ideal would be something on the relatively lower end of in-between.
of course, this is also assuming that you can find enough players to revive something that's the better part of six years dead.

okay, here's my other character, assuming that no one minds my having two. (I kind of imagined them at the same time, as a matched set)
Name: Valerian Quinthry; aka Arjumand “Mandy” Waybreze Age: 17 Species: Human Gender: Male Class: Thief Equipment: standard lock pick, short sword
Personality: a strange and mercurial character, Mandy generally seems jovial and carefree – almost thoughtless – until a situation arises that requires another persona. He is highly protective of his ‘adopted sister’ Jack, becoming abrasive or even outright hostile towards anyone who seems to be bothering her. Tends to rely primarily on charm to deal with dangerous situations,
Appearance: on the upper end of average height, one head taller than Jack. Hair is brown, just past shoulder-length, and usually worn in a braid. Fairly well muscled, in a dense rather than bulky way. Wears functional clothing of moderate quality.
History: mandy refuses to discuss his past prior to his involvement with the Forthright Theater troup, which was travelling with Jack's trading caravan when it was attacked. however, the Forthright's unofficial relationship with the Quinthry trading family makes one wonder...

{please forgive the double post, I couldn't resist my april fools impulse . the following is one of my actual characters} Name: Jacquelyn, “jack” Trades Age: 14 Species: human Gender: female Class: wizard Equipment: a short dagger (borrowed) Spells: open, fetch Personality: shy and timid in unfamiliar places or company, Jack is eager to talk when in the company of people she knows and trusts. Naïve and honest to a fault, she would have quickly fallen prey to the more unscrupulous elements of society were it not for her companion Mandolin Appearance: slender and short, with chin-length brown hair. Jack is still not fully developed, so she can, and often does, pass for a boy – at least under light scrutiny History: the sheltered daughter of a trading caravan, Jack was raised to be knowledgeable in necessary capacities – hiking, cooking, basic mathematics, bargaining, and similar skills. Being constantly on the move, she had little opportunity to develop extensive interpersonal skills, preferring to read books rather than interact with the almost perpetual group of strangers that surrounded her family – none of the regular caravan members were her age. During her caravan’s final trip her parents hired a wizard to act as her tutor. He, sensing the girl’s latent magical potential began teaching her the basics of magic, and a few simple spells that would be moderately useful for a trader’s daughter to know. Alas, Jack’s caravan was attacked by brigands one night, and only the fact that she was out collecting firewood at the time saved her life. Mandolin, an enigmatic boy whose troupe was traveling with the caravan also escaped and aided her in escaping the brigands. Because their pursuers were tenacious, Jack and Mandolin were forced to join the crew of a ship bound for falworth in order to escape.

Name: Skippy age: 4 gender: male Species: coconut class: worrier equipment: none
personality: having spent a good portion of his life being stepped on by careless tourists, skppy the neurotic coconut has developed a paranoid and self-conscious personality. always the first to suggest a tactical retreat in the face of enemies or large crouds, Skippy can always be counted on to provide at least one projectile to use against the foe (read: himself)
appearance: brown, covered in coarse hair, slightly cracked. he's a coconut
History: found on a tropical beach by a touring wizard, Skippy was given sentience as part of a bet between two wizarding houses. after a week of listening to skippy's pesemistic and schitzophrenic conversation, the wizards decided to hand him off to the next adventurer that came to visit. such an opportunity came a few days later, and skippy was passed into the posession of a hardy warrior who, despite all of skippy's efforts, has retained posession of the irritating coconut to this day.
