Hero7 will most likely be Norse.
Wasn't there some talk about also including Native American elements, involving the Vikings' colony in the New World?

...Transylvania! (Which is not a country, but a region, mind you)
Although it was, at different points in history, the center of the kingdom of Dacia, a part of various different empires, and even at one time an independent principality.

And the fact that Dracula is a lot of people's only cultural reference for Eastern Europe means that many can't help but associate vampire gothic horror with Transylvania.

Actually, I still had a problem with QfG3 even after installing the patches--the Simbani initiation wouldn't work.  So I e-mailed Belzorash (or NewRisingSun, whatever he actually calls himself) in order to inform him that the patch wasn't working.  I thought I'd have to resort to Turbo or CPUkiller, but Belzorash responded promptly with the information that he hadn't actually tested that fix yet, and asked for a saved game of mine just before the bug.  Shortly after I sent him one, he sent me a new version of the patch for me to test.  It worked perfectly, and he updated the patch on his site.

So he seems like a great person.  I am very impressed by what he has done.  paladin

I played them all in order after buying the Collection Series, starting with QfG1 EGA.  Recently I replayed the series (this time as a fighter/paladin, since I first played as a wizard), and I tried QfG1 VGA.  Personally I think the EGA one is better, but then, I have a strange affinity for the text parser.

Oh, and between Dosbox and the belzorash patches, the bugs in QfG4 really aren't a big deal anymore--I didn't even have to use a slowdown utility my last time through.  Although Dosbox doesn't help if you only have the Windows version (like in the aforementioned Collection Series  Smiley ).  But the belzorash fixes worked wonderful for me.

I heard that Vivendi finally shut down the Sierra office in Bellevue, which would mean that Sierra no longer makes games and exists only in the fact that Vivendi owns the Sierra trademark and the rights to most of Sierra's games.

Here is what Wikipedia has to say:

"In June 2004, Vivendi reorganized the Vivendi Universal games group, distributing Sierra's work to other units and finally shutting down Sierra's Bellevue location in August. The Sierra brand lives on in name only."
