17  The Hero6 Project / Offtopic Mayhem / NAME THAT GAME!!! on: January 12, 2006, 09:43:10 PM
*Raises hand in deep shame*

I used Google.   I played #2 religiously in school with my friends.  I couldn't for the life of me remember the whole name, but I remembered part of it.  So I just entered "part" of the name and added Apple IIc to it and there it was in all its glory.

So if you wish to deduct a point...hehe...go ahead.  I got the biggest kick, no pun intended, outta seeing a screenshot of that game.

Cue Barbara....

"Memories.........."

Oh, by the way Reish....I did get past that guy.  LOL...after him is 'the princess'.  If you don't bow to her first and/or approach her in fighting stance, she kills you with one kick.  I so sent "remember this?" emails to my old friends from home.

Oh I loved that game.
I liked the idea of having a "time travelers emergency kit" placed in some random spot in the dinosaur days to minimize tampering.
19  The Hero6 Project / Offtopic Mayhem / AN ARTICLE FOR A RUSSIAN MAGAZINE! on: October 31, 2005, 10:38:57 AM
It was Mind Castle.  I just found it as abandonware.  One of those good ole Apple IIc games that schools had.
I had Dr. Brain's Castle but it never worked.  It came in a bundle and all the other games worked so I overlooked it.

1.  Well, the first game I recall is more like adventure/educational.  I believe it was called Mind Castle or something.  There wasn't really much story to it, but the puzzles they gave were really cool.  But the first real true blue adventure game for me had to be KQ1.  My best friend and I tackled it together somewhere around 3rd or 4th grade.  Nikstlitselpmur rules!!!!

2.  I'd have to say my favorite adventure game had to be Mission Critical.  I couldn't tell you my favorite character out of an adventure game.  If I had to take a stab at it, it would probably be Fenris and Erasmus for QfG series.  But that's just taking a stab.

3.  A high quality IQ (and EQ) test that's wrapped up in a good story.  Simple.

4.  Ummm....  Play PC games (currently Civ4, World of Warcraft, Rome TW, and others).  During baseball season I watch the Houston Astros.  I do projects that I never complete (i.e. write short stories, storyboard games, crossword puzzles).  And of course, work.

BTW, for you baseball fanatics out there, here's a cool little fantasy baseball league game that I just started playing.  http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/fantasy/...eague/index.jsp
They are in the postseason right now, so it'll take a few more days 'til the next season starts up.  I picked up my team on the last day of the season, but I got the win!!!

Well, don't think that all Americans drink Budweiser or Miller.
I usually go to this bar up the street called Capital Ale House and there's a much better assortment of brews there.   Draughts, IPA's, Pale Ales, Pumpkin Ales, Pils, etc.  I, as an American, would be ashamed of myself if I saw my bestfriend pass up a pint of a hearty stoudt for a longneck of Coors Light.

Hehehe... well, I'm an opera singer (tenor, singing with Opera Colorado)... if you need any sung parts, I'm your man. If not... well, I flee!

*does so*

See? Smiley
Oooooo....sea shanties would be fun for Hero7's Norse Village!!!!
So the Norse culture was a wee bit too early for shanties, but nothin' like a good pirate song to wake ya in the morn!!!  ARGH!!!!

And welcome to the forums!

Yeah, Hero6 is trying to go to places that QFG hasn't been yet.
Outer Space?

How about a Mayan/Incan/Aztec theme?

We could get a million signatures and VU wouldn't budge, my friend.
Wow....I agree.
Yeah....an online petition is like monopoly money to companies.

Rulic, we're not a fan-game project. Hero6 is an original game.
Well, I realize it's an original game, per se, but its still a fan "based" game.  That's what I thought what we were talking about.  Oopsy.

Vivendi is currently rereleasing the King's Quest, Police Quest, Space Quest and Leisure Suit Larry Collections now available for pre-order on Amazon.com.

I'm no expert, but if your fan game has nothing to do with the above titles listed, I'm guessing you're okay.  I'm thinking that since VU is trying to squeeze a few more clams from those titles, then they'd do a bit of house cleaning before doing so.  Looks like QFG fan games may slip through the cracks.

I am however excited about the Space Quest collection!!!

The expansion is released on 9/27!  I took a look at some of the features and screenies.  I'm pretty excited about it.  I might have to wait before I get it however.

I'll set up the NWN's server, however everybody first needs to suggest a few possible times where everybody interested may attend...

What about this weekend (Saturday or Sunday Aust time)?
Okay... we finally have internet back, we're done with our 'hurricane vacation', and I'm ready to roll on NWN.
If you ever get the chance, lemme know what I need to do to get started.
