Title: RPS Summaries
Post by: Jafar on January 05, 2005, 06:42:30 AM
Hey everyone. I decided to preg_replace('/(.{39})/', '$1 ', 'summarize...summarise...summarice.......I') decided to make a summary of the RPS! (Phew, finally) If you want "just the facts" then you've come to the right topic. ;)

And without further Ado:
The Force of Nature
Wide screen version.

Our main characters, Swift, (You may know her as the Elven Sorceress from Silmaria who's trying to break that Damsel in Distress habit. :P ) Night, (Uh...he's a thief...and a Khajitt or however you spell it.) and Jafar, (Go me! :D ) had just arrived in Raseir by caravan. Swift led them to a tavern to explain the mission.

One of Miros' men had stolen a mysterious artifact from the King of Tarna. They were hired to bring it back. They didn't know the artifacts purpose, but it's valuable and powerful, and that's reason enough to steal it. The artifact was to be passed from the thief to his contact in the fountain plaza. Night was to take the contact's place and get the artifact back. Jafar and Swift were to beat up the contact and take his lunch money...I mean beat him up so that Night could take his place.
While they were disscusing the plan, Night noticed an evesdropper who dropped a note for him saying to meet him in the desert alone.

The evesdropper made a deal with him. He would triple their offer if Night would bring the artifact to him instead. Being a greedy little punk, he accepted. :P
Night went to the inn and tried to...get his payment in advance while Swift was asleep. Jafar, being the awesome hero that he is, stopped him. A bit later, Jafar and Swift beat up the contact and took his ring, travel documents, clothes, and lunch money. They went back to Night and gave him the aforementioned lunch mo- (Ok ok, I'll stop the lunch money jokes!) er, the afore mentioned stuff he needed for his disguise.

Something seemed to be up with Night, so after he left to retrieve the Artifact, Jafar and Swift decided to keep plan B ready just in case...
End of part one.

The Summary's a little bias, don't you think? :P

Jafar's a Ladybird now. Now let's see who needs saving... :P

Eek! *Skitters away*
The Force of Nature
Digitally Mastered in THX
5 hours later, Night was ready. He tried to ask more about the Artifact, but Jafar and Swift knew about as much is he did.(Diddly Squat) Night noticed Mr.Evesdropper again, dropping another note for him. (or should we call him note dropper?) Night decided to wait until Swift left to read it. Swift noticed that he noticed something, and after she left, she turned invisible and followed him. The note said for Night to meet him in the alleyway. Night was paid a third of the reward he was promised. You might of guessed, but Swift was less then pleased to hear about this. Night smelled her (Lay off the perfume! :P ) and pretended not to know the evesdropper, while giving him a note warning of Swift.

After evesdropping man "stalked" off", Swift confronted Night, asking him what he was doing. Before he could explain anything, the man dropped an eve on her! Seriously, he attacked her. Night tried to stop him, but Eve's and notes ain't the only thing the villain could drop, and he dropped a Hold Person spell on Night.

Meanwhile...
Jafar was catching up on his sleep at the inn (He picks the worst times to nap...) and woke up, deciding to head there early. He entered the alley, saw the situation and decided to spy on them. Dropeve had a knife to Swift's throat and said that if Night didn't get the artifact, she would die. Then he freed Night and teleported away with Swift.

Night went into the plaza and met with Ellor, who had the Artifact and recived it from him. It was a statue of an emerald tower... After Ellor left, Eve-dude came to get the Artifact from Night. That was Jafar's cue to kick some butt and take some names.(Don't ask me what that means...) While Jafar had The Dropper distracted, Night fooled around with the Artifact, trying to make it do something. When he read the words on the Artifact, it started glowing green... Night dropped it, and Jafar snagged it. The glow got brighter, then the Artifact vanished. Droppy teleported away with a threat, and Night ran off.

Jafar, left without any direction, cast detect magic to see if he could find out anything. He detected magic coming from himself! (Dun dun dun...) Which is odd, and not supposed to happen. Night saw a bright light coming from where Jafar was, and went to check it out. Jafar was emmiting a GREEN GLOW! :o
Neither Jafar nor Night knew what the artifact did, but the latter had a few cracks about it. <_< (You'd make a good lighthouse!)

Meanwhile...
Swift was a prisoner of the Eve Dropping One! And like every villain, he talked about his plan. He had somehow known what had happened to the Green Good Guy, and was plotting to remove his new powers. Apparently, the Artifact had transferred it's power to Jafar when he touched it, and gave him some sort of power over nature... How was Evedroppo going to steal his powers? With the LIGHTNING ORB! Swift was to be used as bait...
End of part two.

The Force of Nature
Brought to you by Honest Ali's used Saruses.
Jafar and Night had decided to band together to find Swift. They headed into the streets, Jafar somehow able to sense her. Meanwhile, Swift was locked up, the key just out of reach. Suddenly, the wooden table sort of "threw" the key to her and she escaped. She met up with Jafar and told him about what her captor said. Oh yeah, and she turned Night into a sheep so he wouldn't cause trouble.(Heh heh)

Swift opened up a portal to Shapeir, dispelled Night, and tied him up. They were going to turn him in to the authorities. While Swift was preparing for the journey to Tarna, Jafar was to take Night to the inn and keep an eye on him. Unfortunately, they were attacked by the evesdropping villain we all know and hate. Night noticed the Lightning Orb the villain had. When the villain attacked, Night jumped in front of Jafar, protecting him. Swift then rushed back, brushing up on her Last-Minute-Rescue skills. She casted Blizzard and Slow on the evesdropper. Night took the oppertunity to try to steal the Lightning Orb, but ED cast Hold Person on him. Eve-o ran away, but not before Swift polymorphed him. Fortunately for him, it only half worked and he was a half-sheep. Jafar and Night chased after him, but when cornered, the sheepish villain trapped Night in the sphere!

Jafar and Swift were forced to let him get away. (Am I forgetting something...?)
Oh yeah, Swift changed the half-sheep back THEN Jafar and Swift were forced to ETC.(Wouldn't it be embarassing if he forgot that part? :P )

End of part three.

The Force of Nature
Please turn off all cellphones and seeing stones.
Jafar and Swift had decided to head for Tarna to get help. The caravan was coming in the morning, so Jafar went to get some sleep.

Meanwhile...
You-know-who was taunting Night, who was still trapped in the orb. Evesdroppers plan was to follow them to Tarna use Night as bait, and steal Jafar's powers. Night started giving him ideas, and then Evesdropper got it in his head to use the power for himself! (Not good!) With the power in his hands, Evesdropper could RULE THE WORLD! MuahahahahaHAHAHAHA!

Meanwhile...
Jafar woke up from a strange dream. He then noticed that his green color had become skin deep.("You're going to have a hard time finding a date like this")
No one in his right mind would go out with unnaturally green skin...unless they had a sorceress to cast invisibility on them. ;)
The two discussed Night's side-switching on the way. One minute he was with them, the next he was with the evesdropper. What are his motives?(Besides money. )

The two arrived in Tarna and met with Kreesha to get help. She was unable to determine much, but she gave Jafar a scroll that could help him use his powers...
Jafar felt a strange power from the scroll...
End of part four.

Another RPS Summary from yours truly! (Who ever that is...:P)
Talisman Trouble,    Part One
Sounds like a cartoon episode, doesn't it?
Our heroes, Jafar, (No introduction needed. ;) ) Swift, (Ditto) Jigen, (Go ninjas! )  Delor, (The pyromaniacal pyromaniac) Rylue, (Recently had a hot date with doom. ;) ) Khaveen, (No relation to the Raseir one) and Roger Wil- er, Rogar Darklight (Oxymoronic name, eh?) phew, that was a long introduction...where was I?
Oh yes. Our heroes were at Erasmus' home. The poor old wizard and his ratty familar had been poisoned. Swift went upstairs to check on her teacher, while Zara explained it all.

After a few interruptions, ( :glare: ) Zara told them that Erasmus had been entrusted with a talisman of great evil. Erasmus and Fenrus had been poisoned, and the talisman stolen. No one was supposed to know that Erasmus had the talisman, which of course means that the main villain found out in record time. When combined with three other talismans, (Talismen?) it would unlock unholy power. (What else?) Unfortunately that meant that finding the talisman was their first priority. Saving Erasmus came second. :( Retriving the talisman would get them a nice reward.(Lets hope Evesdropper doesn't try to bribe the more dishonest members of the party. :P)

Rogar went upstairs to see if he could help Erasmus. The Healer said that there was nothing he could do for him...EXCEPT. Finding the ingredients for a disp- I mean a cure. She gave him a list of ingredients that might be able to help him, then tried to shoo him away. He asked if he could help again, and again she told him that finding a cure was the only thing he could do. He asked AGAIN (  :glare:  ) and she told him to find a cure AGAIN.(This might take a while) He asked AGAIN and finally she told him that he could try. (Anything to get rid of him :P)
Jafar entered the room then, to check on Erasmus. Swift was by Erasmus, in tears.(Heartbreaking. :( ) She told Jafar that E wasn't doing well, and swore revenge.

Meanwhile...
Jigen and the others were trying to get Khaveen to stop looting E's house, and planning the rest of the quest at their best with zest. Someone with thief contacts was to take a quick trip to the guild and see if anyone knew anything. They were waiting for the others, and weren't happy about it.("We've wasted forty-five minutes because of one idiot kelpto and a paladin who won't take NO for an answer")Khav left to find a place to store his loot.
Jafar and Swift came downstairs, and the group got ready to head out. Rylue went to check the area around Erana's Peace, and Jigen went to check the Thieves Guild.

Khav went back to the mountain to see if the others were still there. Meanwhile, Rog wasn't having any luck with the healing. (NOW will you admit that you were wrong? :P ) Delor tried to get the Gargoyle to talk, then started trying to set it on fire. (Get used to him doing that...) Finally, the Gargoyle awoke....

End O' part one.

After that few day break, Here's part 2. Hold on to your capes!
Talisman Trouble,    Part Two
Yeah, I know I'm late. Shut up.
THE GARGOYLE HAD AWOKEN!
And he was his usual cranky self. He said that a Man had came here earlier, led by a bunch of goblins...Or was it the other way around? The Man leading them had petrified the Gargoyle, so he couldn't do anything to stop him. According to Gargaly Oil, he was tall, and covered his face with a cloak...(Delor:Good, more cloth to burn!)
Jafar and Delor left after GG told them that, now having an idea of the enemys appearance.(Though most villains are tall and cloak-wearing... Have you seen a man in a black cape around? maybe he had a tattoo? :P )

Meanwhile, Rylue searched Erana's peace, and after finding nothing, left with a fruit. He then went into the nearby cave and noticed a dim light coming from a torch...nearby were some markings...

Meanwhile again, Rogar, the Persistent Paladin, called for the healer. He said that he felt something, and perhaps he gave Erasmus more time...Roger then left to meet with the others.

Back to Jafar and Delor...
Stomping out Delors fires on the way, Jafar met up with Swift, and told her what Double-G said. They puzzled over this while Delor and Jigen went to get a drink, then Jafar met up with Rylue in the tavern to see what he discovered.

Meanwhile...
Khaveen reached the top of the moutain where Rogar was. Rogar adressed the Gargoyle politely, asking where the others went. The Gargoyles reply, wasn't so polite...("What am I? A tour guide? Get lost!")
The Gargoyle dropped Bub, I mean Khav to the bottom of the mountain, and Rogar walked down.

Jigen heard about the man and the Goblins (Not the ones who walked into a bar :P ) from Delor, and decided to check out the Goblin ambush.
Rylue decided to ask Swift about the markings he found....
End of part two.

Jafar's Diary (I was bored, and when I get bored, sillyness happens. Don't blame me if this isn't how a real diary is written :P )

Dear, Diary:
It's cool being a Paladin! :D  Defender of Justice, Champion of Good, ETC.
I need a quest though...I haven't been on one in a while...
Rakeesh seems to be planning something...I hope he doesn't send me to Mordavia. It smells funny there...

D, D:
Rakeesh and Erasmus have arranged for me to protect this Sorceress gal. UGH! I HATE Guard duty!
Come ON! Let me slay an evil Dragon, find a Girl in a Tower, seek out the Grail! ANYTHING but guard duty! Yuck...
Sorry, got carried away. But I do hate this. :glare:
Hopefully, I'll only have to keep an eye on her for a few days before going on a REAL adventure...What was her name again? Slick? Snake? Sick? Eh, I'll be meeting her soon, so I'll ask her then.

Yo Diary-dude!
I met her. And boy, was she mad about having a guardian. She yelled at us and teleported out. Hmmph. Snob! :whatever:
I wasn't ready to give up yet, (Stupid sense of duty...) so I asked Erasmus where to find her.
He gave me directions to her house. Let's hope she doesn't have guard dogs...

Hey, Diary
I talked with her, and she thinks that magic is all she'll ever need for protection! Funny, I thought magic users had high intelligence... :annoyed:
I tried to tell her that magic won't help against everything, and that she doesn't have any muscle to back up the magic. She said that she can just summon her water elemental. Wait till someone casts Silence on her...
I even directly told her that she needed a protecter, and she still wouldn't listen. She told me to go save some other girl, that "There are plenty of Damsels out there for you to save. I'm not one of them". I was tempted to kidnap her myself, then save her to prove her wrong, but that wouldn't work...
Anyway, she basiclly slammed the door in my face. I heard her muttering things about me being a babysitter. What an insult!  :glare:
I'll come back after getting some lunch and try to convince her again.
Hmm...what to eat...pizza sounds good. ^_^

Uh-oh, Diary...
Almost at the pizza place, but I have a baaad feeling about this. I'm going back.
Always trust your bad feelings. It's like...a spidersense...

YIKES!
Just got back to her house. Door is wide open, footprints are everywhere, and the evil is so thick I almost choked.
No answer when I called. Drat! What a stupid mistake. Excuse me while I bang my head on that tree right there.
*CLUNK!* *CLUNK* *CLUNK*
Okay, I feel asleep. I mean, better now. Except for that lump...
Bad guy couldn't of gotten far. I'll ask Erasmus for help. Hopefully, he won't be *too* angry...

Yadayada, Diary.
I came back to E's house to report. Fenrus guessed it, I messed up. He told me to search her house for clues. I hope this won't make my Honor points go down...

DANG!
I went into her house. Is that a poster of a Ninja on the wall? Wabbaever, that doesn't matter right now.
I didn't take long for me to spot him. An ugly old man, wearing dark robes and a hood. All villains dress the same.  There must be an evil clothes store somewhere.
Then again, clothes shopping IS evil... :P
Anyway, he said something about watching a friend die. That doesn't sound good...
He defeated me, but HE CHEATED! He caught me off guard with that supressing hold technique! Grrrr... :glare:
He tied me up, then teleported us to a room in his evil lair. Sorceress Gal is there. He left to prepare his evilness, and we started on our escape plans. He didn't take our weapons, (Must be getting senile...) so we can escape. I'll have to write later, I'm a little tied up at the moment. Get it? HAHAHAHA!
Ooh, I crack myself up.
End of Diary exerpt. Now why did you go reading it, you little sneak? :glare:

All I'm saying is that it was a Calvin and Hobbes reference. :P
*CHANGE SUBJECT*
Jafar's Diary

Dear, D:
Just escaped from the ropes. I loosened them, then slipped out. Whatshername took the easy way out and used a dagger. Cheater! :P
Time to find a way out of here...

D, Diary:
After escaping that cell, it didn't take us long to run directly into the kidnapper. Oops. I guess we should of taken a left turn at Albuquerque.... :(
I tried to fight him, but he fried me like a chicken with his lightning powers. AHHH! :o
I never, never, never never nevernevernever NEVER, want to go through that again. And I think my hair caught fire from that.... Anyway, I'm losing consciousness, so I'll write again later.

Dear, Journal (Dropped my diary back at the bad guys lair)
I woke up on the side of the street in Silmaria. People are giving me funny looks.
Was that all a nightmare? No, my hair is still sticking up from that lightning attack.
I have no idea how I got here, it must of been what they call "a plot device"...

D, J:
Ran into Rakeesh. He's found out where that wizard's hideout is.
Theres a portal right there. Cool, I've never used one before! What if you're half in one place and half in another...
......
......
......
Never mind. I'm going now.

Dear, Diary (Did ya miss me? :P )
I've finished copying the Journal entries. I need to keep my stuff in one place.
Anyway, we went through the portal. Rakeesh is holding off some minions while I'm searching for Whatshername. Found you on the ground, so I must be near that battle. I need to be more careful with you, diaries are getting expensive... :glare:
This door here looks eviler then the others, he must be in there.

D, D:
Yep, I was right. There he is, with a ugly dagger, about to sacrifice the gal for some unknown, bizzare purpose. Hold on a minute, this is the perfect time for me to stab him and foil his plans.

I've kicked his butt, but he's begging for mercy. Rakeesh doesn't trust him...
He looks like he means it though. Does he knows how much of a softie I am...?
Should I finish him off, or should I not....
....
...I'll spare him. :(

Hey Diary:
It was a trick.  I should of known! He made a jump for that ugly dagger. I got him just as he reached it though. Looks like it's over.
I'm cutting the gal free riight now... Pointy Ears...I didn't know she was an elf...
What would it be like to be able to put someones eye out with your ears...?
.....
.....
.....
I need to stop letting my mind wander like that.
My reward for saving her: A hug, and her friendship. Maybe next time I'll get a little more then a hug...
Nahh...probably not. :P
She still doesn't want me to be her protector, but I don't mind. I hate guard duty anyway. Isn't that what common soldiers are for?
Anyway, we returned to Silmaria, called off the guardian job, (Yay! :D ) she's installing a peep-hole in her door so she'll know if it's me or a evil mage. And me? I went to that pizza place and had a light lunch. ^_^
I'll write more next time I have an adventure.

Swift, that was her name. Swift. :whatever:

End of Diary exerpt. Hey, I told you not to read it! :P
DISCLAIMER: The ME me never had a crush on Swift. Put the shotgun down, Jigen! :o

I'M BACK! I'M BACK! I'M BACK!
And I was enjoying my vacation too... :whatever:
Anyway, back to the Summary.
Talisman Trouble,   Part Three
A part of your good breakfast
Delor and Jigen had decided to check out the Goblin Hideout together. (You still can't crush the entrance. Not enough time to put that in the game. :P )
Swift teleported to Rylue and Jafar, (Funny, we were just talking about you...) and Rylue told her about what he had found in the cave. (If you don't remember, he had found Darth Vader himself, and chopped off his head to reveal none other then...RYLUE! Er, that is, he found some kind of mysterious magical drawings on the cave wall)
Rylue lead the way to the Cave.

Meanwhile, Khav and Roge- er, Rogar were arguing. Rogar was trying to get him to stop stealing stuff.

Back at the Goblin Ambush, Jigen found a note.

Greetings! Erasmus keeps one of the four talismans in his possession.
You are to retrieve it and bring it to me near the cave by noon.
Do not fail me.
-M
Quote
Let's see, milk, eggs, bread, one third of evil unholy talisman... interesting
After checking the time, (It is Mid-Morning on Day 1) the two headed towards The Cave, with only an hour before the mysterious meeting...

Jafar, Rylue, and Swift were already checking out the cave and the drawings.
What did they mean? Tea recipe? Comics? Or perhaps a Treasure Map?
No, it was a mysterious ritual thingy! Swift guessed that it was to draw out the power of the Talismen. Talismans. Whatever.
This suddenly reminded Jafar of the Artifact Incident...
But thats another story. :P

Meanwhile, Rogar Wilco was in Erana's garden, checking out the tree. You know, that big, important looking tree. With the fruit. It's very tasty. (The fruit, not the tree)
He tried touching the tree, and a voice told him to remove his hand. After doing so, the voice told him to kneel. He kneeled, apologized, and...
Quote
MADE YOU KNEEL!
The tree was also home to a wacky little sprite, (Not the soda  ) who decided to play a trick on the Paladin.
Rog asked if the 7up, er...sprite had seen anyone else in the Garden.
Of course, he got a goofy answer.
Quote
The worms and the catterpillars and the flies and the mosquitoes and the frogs and the butterflies and...
He DID learn that a man had come to the Garden once. A dark, mean, tall, hidden, ugly man, who REALLY needed a shower and was wearing a cloak and hood.
Rogar asked which way the man went. Well, how many exits are there in the garden, Einstine? ONE! :P
The sprite told him to talk with the Dryad.

Meanwhile, Jigen Delor, and the other three were preparing to ambush M and his cohart.
Finally, they came. The cohart gave M the talisman, and recieved a reward.
As you know, Heroes always have to wait for the opportune moment before doing anything majorly Heroic. Well, the opportune moment had just arrived!
Jigen stepped in and threw a taunt towards M(eleen).
Quote
Nice talisman lady, it'll go great with your earrings
Meleen ordered his Cohart and his bunch of Goblins to attack the heroes, then ran for his life. Fortunately, there werent THAT many goblins.
Unfortunately, another group of Green Gobbies were coming to help their fellow freaks.
Our Heroes sliced and they diced, :fighter: they used magical might, :wizard: it was quite an awesome fight! :paladin:

Swift noticed Meleen getting away, and gave chase. Delor followed then, probably because Meleen looked quite burnable...
Meanwhile, Jigen had K.Oed Meleens cohart, (Lets call him "Leon" :P ) and Khav was getting beat up by the second goblin group. They were VERY mad at him. You see, they was sup-oast ta joyen wit da others! He had gots in their way, so they wanted payback, see?

Meanwhile, Meleen was continuing to run from Swift, while throwing fire spells behind him to slow her. Delor was a little annoyed with Meleen for stealing his thunder... :annoyed:
Delor jumped right through the wall of fire Meleen put up. I think he actually enjoyed that.
Swift casted Blizzard on Meleen, and he was hit. Now in range, Delor swiped at Meleen with his torches. Meleen drawed a sword, but Delor got him with the torch again, and he dropped it. Swift gave him a blast with Arcane Missles.

Meanwhile, Khav was doing a pretty good job of fighting off the  goblins, though he was outnumbered. Jigen, after deling with Leon, came to help him.

Now, Jafar WAS chasing after Swift and Meleen, but he got left behind. He definately needs to work on his running. Rog caught up to him, and Jafar yold him which way to go.

Back with Meleen.
Things weren't looking good for the villain. Delor had just decided to...BURNINATE HIM! :o
Meleen ran around, trying to find some water.
Swift had a spell for him that was a bit colder then water...(Blizzard)
Finally, Meleen died. Rogar was furious with Swift. (Zwah? )
He said that Meleen might of known about the antidote for the poison.
Then, get this. He used Healing Hands on a villain. a DEAD villain. I think Rogar is a little cucu for cocoa puffs, if you know what I mean. :P
Meleen, um...stayed dead.
Delor recovered....BA DA DA DAAAA! The Talisman! Things are looking up! :D

Jigen and Khaveen finally finshed off the Goblins.
They all returned to the inside of the cave, where they left Leon. Swift woke Leon. Time for some questioning.
Jigen shook him.
Quote
You have three seconds to tell use how to cure erasmus and I've just wasted your first two, TALK!
At first, he wasn't going to talk, but after threats from nearly every party member, he talked. He told them the cure was in his pocket, then Jigen knocked him out again. Things sure are looking good, huh? The Talisman is recovered, the cure is discovered, and old mother Hubbard has food in her cuboard. The only thing is, Swift still wants revenge on Leon for poisioning Erasmus. She wants the kind of revenge where the uh...revengee suffers alot.
Other then that, nothing, and I mean NOTHING can go wrong. Right?
Right!?
Wrong....
End of part three.

There's a slightly old saying. "Often late, but worth the wait". :P
Talisman Trouble   Part Four
Brought to you by WabbaEver Industries.
When we last left our Heroes, things were going well for them. (Except Khav, who had just weakly limped into the cave) Found the cure, got the talisman, etc. Right after they had taken the cure, there was a loud noise, bright flash, and a Evil Mage hovering in front of the party. Apparently, he was Leon's master, because he ordered him to get up. He then attacked the party with lightning!

Swift struck back (No pun intended) with Arcane Missles, but the Mage deflected them everywhere. Everyone prepared, for this looked like a tough fight. Jafar and Rogar readied their swords, Jigen took out some sh...shru...shir...
Throwing stars, (:glare: ) Swift casted Blizzard, and Delor burned Leon's hair. (When will he ever learn? )
Rogar was about to charge, but The Mysterious Mage levitated Khav into the air, using him as a hostage\shield. MM said that if they handed over the talisman and Leon, (Good henchmen are hard to come by these days...) he would spare Khaveen's life. EVERYONE called him a coward for resorting to this, but he didn't care.

Khav started to wake. It was quite a rude awakening, since MM slammed him into a wall. Our heroes still hesitated. When MM started to crush Khav with his magic, Delor used a biting attack!
It had no effect on the Mysterious Mage!
The Mysterious Mage threw Delor into a wall!
SMAAAAASH!
125 Damage to Delor!
Rogar tried to Negotiate!
...Just missed!
(Sorry, I've been playing Earthbound recently :P )
*Ahem*
Rogar offered himself in exchange for Khaveen. No deal, unfortunately.
MM then threatened to destroy the whole valley.
Quote
<Delor> will you burn the valley :D
<Mysterious_Magician> No. No burning. Just destroying it.
<Delor> you suck, no finesse
<Rylue> Since when does evil, and style go together?
<Rylue> Look at his robes.

Heh heh heh...Anyhoo...
MM continued to torture Khav. Then Roger threatened to destroy the medallion!
MM's response? He slammed Khav around some more before dropping him, then sealed the party behind a force wall.  His plan was to return after they had died behind the wall. He then vanished, taking Leon with him.
*Sigh* One minute they were champions, the next, chumps.
The main party was trapped behind the wall, and Khav was still injured on the other side of the wall.
How to escape? Blow up the walls, of course! :D
No, wait, that's a terrible idea... :glare:

They soon found out that the cave was designed to block anyone who was actually trying to escape. Delor asked Jafar to come here. When he did, Delor tackled him through the wall! Since neither of them were actually trying to escape, they passed through.
Jafar shoved Delor back through, then Delor helped Rylue, Rogar, Swift, and Jigen back out. Once out, Rogar (Of course) went straight to heal Khaveen.
Everything was fine, except...Delor was still on the wrong side of the wall.
The others told him that the forest was on fire, and he ran right through.
Quote
<Delor> thanks guys your almost the best. you would have been the best if you had really set the forest on fire
The party then headed back to Mount Zauberberge to report to Zara.

Meanwhile, the next talisman had been located...in Shapeir. (DUN DUN DUN!)

To Be Continued...
End of part four

Talisman Trouble,   Part Five
Bringing you silly messages since Jan, 5. 2005
Last time, on Dragon Ball Z! Goku had reached Super Saiyan Infinity, and was about to destr-
*Changes the channel*
Sorry 'bout that.
Our heroes had returned to Erasmus' house, and gave the cure they took from Leon to the Healer. After examining it, she came to the conclusion that it was NOT the cure. It was more of the poison. Leon had probably hoped to get the last laugh by having Erasmus die from the "cure". Swift was REALLY upset with this turn of events. The Healer left into another room to run some tests on the poison.

Zara then appeared out of nowhere. (How does she DO that?)
Jafar gave the talisman to Zara, and the party was rewarded with 5000 gold each. Awesome! B)
Unfortunately, this didn't do much to help Swift's mood. She was thinking dark, ugly, murderous, nasty, killer, slightly-evil thoughts, all directed towards the one who poisoned Erasmus.
The others managed to convince her to calm down, though. (Swift! Don't give in to hate. That leads to the Dark Side.)

The healer returned, and knew what was needed to finish the cure.
Dryad hair, Meep fur, and a Mandrake Root. (I don't wanna know the ingredients she already put in the cure.   )
The sun setting, the adventurers headed out to find the cure ingredients.
On the way, they met someone. Do not be alarmed, for he is just a run-of-the-mill  mole. :P (Sorry, Earthbound again...)
He was a human adventurer. Verdant Star's the name, magic was his game. He joined the party, and they continued on to the graveyard.

Ghosts were running, er, floating wild all over the place. Just their luck to come to the graveyard on the night of the Spook Party.
They decided to fight the ghosts off. Unfortunately, normal weapons wouldn't work on them, so Jigen and Khaveen had to steer clear of this battle.
Verdant put up a shield around the party, then he and Swift attacked with Acid Bolt and Blizzard, respectively. The ghosts were slightly weakened by the attack.
Jafar also helped with a few Force Bolts.
After a few more Acid Bolts, the ghosts were defeated.
They searched around, but couldn't find the root. Did someone beat them to it?
Did Delor burn it? Or was someone enjoying their Mandrake Mousse right now?

Verdant sent a magic orb to search the area. It led them to a nearby cave...
There was something weird about the cave that gave Jigen a baaad feeling about this. (The walls are closing! Don't just stand there, try and brace them with something! 3PO? 3PO! Shut down all the garbage mashers in the detention level!)
Delor lit a torch, and tossed it into the cave to see what was ahead.
Must of been gunpowder or something, because it exploded right after landing.
Khav was about to go marching into there, but the explosions changed his mind.
Swift tried to enter, but she triggered a trap that turned her into a rabbit, of all things.
Quote
<Jigen> A Bunny? That's it I'm outa here, keep your freaky arse cave
After Verdant turned her back to normal, Swift used Detect Magic to find any more traps. There were ALOT of traps. Verdant tried to jump them, but he triggered one that made him float and changed his hair color to blue. (Seriously. I kid you not. )
Swift used a dispel magic scroll on him, and he fell back down. (He still had funky hair though)

Just then, a cranky Kobold walked up to them, and yelled at them for trespassing.
It turned out he was a wizard (ANOTHER ONE!? :annoyed: ) named Grit who was an old friend of Erasmus'. When he heard about what happened to E, he agreed to give them the root he picked the other night...(Theres a catch, I just know it. :glare: )
...In return for letting him join them. He needed some components and stuff.
Do do do do, do do, do do DOOO! Grit has joined the party!

I know, it's Necromancy, but no need to make a new thread when we've already got one.

Darkness over Glorianna-Chapter One

The Paladin Dmitri Ivanov, the Wizard Swift Sumner, and the Pyrotechnic, Delor, are summoned to Silmaria. Upon their arrival, Logos and Rakeesh say that King Devon has vanished after a journey to Shapeir that he was supposed to have returned from two weeks ago. Worse, any efforts to magically see Shapeir or anyone in it have failed, and the Wizards Institute of Technocery is refusing to answer any questions about the state of Shapeir. As the icing on the cake, Logos and Rakeesh note that Heroes are vanishing from the world, from legendary Heroes like Devon and even the Archmage Erana to more familiar heroes like Jafar and the ninja, Jigen, have been impossible to locate by magical or conventional means. Without being able to safely transport the Heroes to Shapeir magically, they are instead sent by ship across the Med Sea towards the city of Tel Viav.

Upon coming into sight of the city, the ship is blasted apart by cannonfire, with the crew and Heroes only narrowly escaping death. Washing ashore with little supplies and only a small amount of weapons, and in Dmitri and Delor's case, armor and explosives, respectively. The crew is unable to flee with any haste, and the Heroes agree to attempt a distraction to buy them time to flee. Dmitri distracts the guards, who's faces are covered in strange scars and are supernaturally strong, while Delor plants charges on the walls, the ensuing explosion shattering the gate and killing the guards.
