I applied to join Hero 6 and help out with the writing but I didn't receive a reply. This isn't the first time I've applied without received a response either. Is there anyone responsible for checking out and responding to new writing team applications?

Only Plot Admins have access to applications concerning their department. Erasmus, our plot admin, had recently contacted some applicants, so if you didn't hear from him, it could either be that the email didn't get through or something else altogether. I've PMed him of your situation, so please give him some time to respond.

Luke, good to see you! What happened to your project?

I moved to China for a few years and I literally had no time to work on it. Now I'm back home in the UK and studying for an English degree.  I thought that helping out with the writing duties here might be fun and also useful practice for me.

Thanks, but leaving home and moving to China was easy. The difficult thing was returning to England and realising that China was my home.

Three months ago I climbed Tai Shan - the tallest and greatest of China's holy mountains - and, as I stood in the courtyard of the buddhist temple upon Tai Shan's peak, watched the sun rise above the clouds. I explored the ancient temple of Confucius. I found and lost love. Now my life is boring and predictable.

I think that I left behind a part of me when I came back "home".

Ianfe sent you an email about your application some days ago. Have you sent him any samples of your work for him to review?

Swift (or should I address this to Ianfe?),  I never received the email about my application. If someone could send it again then I'll happily send you a writing sample.

It avoids spam bots that search forums for email addresses that are listed.

Heh, I already have my adress online on my website, and I tell you...I can't get enough of those Spam letter titles. They crack me up.

Funniest thing is, they're sent by names such as "Silverbluedragon" or "Silverjade" or "Silverrandomword".

That's so spam-bots won't be able to add my addy to their address lists if htey happen to trawl through the forums.

I've heard of AT instead of @ before, but the dashes between the words is something new, good idea!

Ianfe's pretty good about responding to communication so I'm sure you'll have your application dealt with much faster now.
