Title: Cake! Post by: Sirus on October 28, 2005, 12:59:52 AM I noticed that there are so many birthday threads (2 current ones) but there is no emoticon for them....
And so.... Cake1(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v60/Gaian_Issues/cake1.gif) Cake2(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v60/Gaian_Issues/cake2.gif) Which do you like better? (I'm planning on making edits of them) v.1 - Yes, I know there is a small outline of white on them. I have to go now, so I'll be back to fix that. Title: Cake! Post by: Swift on October 28, 2005, 01:19:54 AM Cool, did you make that?
I prefer cake 1. Title: Cake! Post by: Corsair5 on October 28, 2005, 04:40:51 AM I agree with Swift.
Title: Cake! Post by: Silverbolt on October 28, 2005, 12:11:31 PM I agree with Corsair, but not with Swift.
A PARADOX IS BORN! Title: Cake! Post by: Corsair5 on October 28, 2005, 04:27:14 PM The below line is the truth.
The above line is a lie. Title: Cake! Post by: Reish Vedaur on October 28, 2005, 06:32:38 PM I once asked my graphing calculator to give me 0 divided by 0. The answer it gave was 0*
I also made it do infinity divided by infinity, and it gave me 1* with some sort of message about how the answer wasn't true. Title: Cake! Post by: Corsair5 on October 28, 2005, 07:28:01 PM Inifinity divided by Infinity IS one.
Title: Cake! Post by: Twiggy on October 28, 2005, 08:04:51 PM Quote Inifinity divided by Infinity IS one. Wouldn't infinity/infinity only be a finite number if you're talking about 2 infinite sets with one-to-one correspondence? Since infinity - 1 is infinity, and infinity * infinity is still infinity, then with infinity being a boundless number, infinity/infinity should only equal 1 if there's an end to the sequence, otherwise, it should still equal infinity. Title: Cake! Post by: Twiggy on October 28, 2005, 08:10:10 PM Nevermind that, I poked with the inevitable Mathematica out of curiousity, looks like the solution could be 1, or 2, or any infinite number of solutions, not necessarily infinity or 1 exclusively.
Title: Cake! Post by: Silverbolt on October 28, 2005, 08:49:06 PM Infinity divided by infinity, Infinity multiplied by a number or zero or infinity and such things are called "non-determinations" in Math and they do not have sollutions.
Title: Cake! Post by: Corsair5 on October 28, 2005, 10:21:51 PM Besides, any problem involving infinity is pointless.
Title: Cake! Post by: Jafar on October 29, 2005, 02:06:44 AM Well, I infinately prefer the first cake... :P
Title: Cake! Post by: Sirus on November 04, 2005, 05:21:14 AM New version!!!
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v60/Gaian_Issues/ExportWizard-1.gif) Any suggestions? Title: Cake! Post by: Corsair5 on November 04, 2005, 05:32:00 AM It looks like a decorated nuke coming out of a bunker.
Title: Cake! Post by: Jafar on November 04, 2005, 05:33:36 AM Looks even better! I think it should be added like this.
Title: Cake! Post by: Swift on November 04, 2005, 08:42:05 AM Thanks again, Sirus.
The cake is now available! :cake: |
