Title: New Admin Spamming policy and whatnot Post by: Ianfe on July 07, 2005, 01:57:47 PM Everyone:
Traditionally, Hero6 board admins have been very lenient with chit-chat derailing topics in the board threads. Swift and I have been discussing this for the last few days and we have come to the decision that it's time we changed that. We admins will no longer tolerate a thread being hi-jacked with two-word posts that serve no function. That kind of activity will be restricted to the Offtopic mayhe, (that's why it's called MAYHEM in the first place, lol). Be warned, however, that EXTREME offtopic stuff will not be tolerated in ANY section, even the offtopic one. If we see signs of this happening, we will issue a warning IN the thread to get back on topic. Should this warning be ignored, we will delete any OT posts after that one and raise the hijacker's warning level. Also, since we mods can't be 24 hours at a time on the forums, if we find a hijacked thread that's run rampant, we will simply spruce it up on the spot. Disciplinary action in those cases will be discussed on an individual basis. Sorry to put a damper on the fun from time to time, guys, but we do as feel is right for the good of the community. Title: New Admin Spamming policy and whatnot Post by: Swift on July 07, 2005, 02:32:29 PM Well said, Ianfe.
To the rest: Please don't spam the forums. It gets tiring having to delete off-topic posts. Thank you. Title: New Admin Spamming policy and whatnot Post by: Ignus_Draconus on July 07, 2005, 04:07:07 PM sigh, I guess these things couldn't last forever. are almost on-topic comments still allowed?
Title: New Admin Spamming policy and whatnot Post by: Swift on July 07, 2005, 04:27:30 PM That depends on the situation, but probably yes.
Title: New Admin Spamming policy and whatnot Post by: Ignus_Draconus on July 07, 2005, 04:31:05 PM okay, life's good then. there can be much rejoicing *short burst of monotone cheering*
Title: New Admin Spamming policy and whatnot Post by: lazygamer on July 12, 2005, 07:18:32 PM Suppose there is off-topic comments, but they are not the silly, pointless, unfunny kind. Are meaningful off-topic comments allowed?
Title: New Admin Spamming policy and whatnot Post by: Ianfe on July 13, 2005, 07:05:15 PM Cool OT topics will be allowed, if they don't please the maximum authority (that would be... me, of course). Of course, I will still make sure OT comments do not derail a discussion, but most probably I will handle that by moving the OT post to its own thread for you guys to keep the hijinks up.. .or a similar, non-aggresive action.

All hail! :P Title: New Admin Spamming policy and whatnot Post by: Corsair5 on July 13, 2005, 08:10:34 PM I call for a revolution!
..A revolution! Dang it, nobody wants to help out the revolutionary. Title: New Admin Spamming policy and whatnot Post by: BF on July 22, 2005, 03:20:30 PM Quite. Not when the revolutionary is you, Corsair, and there's no purpose to the revolution except to continue to allow you to be annoying.
Title: New Admin Spamming policy and whatnot Post by: Corsair5 on July 22, 2005, 07:53:24 PM You dare blaspheme the most unholy power in this forums?
Title: New Admin Spamming policy and whatnot Post by: Jafar on July 22, 2005, 09:09:29 PM You make it sound like a bad thing.
