errr... while funny, I think this is a tad too inhumane for our strict Hero6 sensorship department.

Hehehe, although having a fight with this thing, AND LOSING; would be great material for a HILARIOUS death message, I´m sure.

I was just kidding about putting it in the game. If I were serious would I have posted it in Offtopic Mayhem?  :D

My friend, I can never really tell. I always play it safe.

I'm not the great mod that Swift is, I know. I figured you probably WERE kidding, but decided to make the Hero6 stance clear on it, else some one might get the idea and then be disappointed when it's not in there.

Still, something similiar to that could be developed, I would think. Something that's a bit more humane...

I think it's better to think of it for Hero7... too late at this point to get it into Hero6.

Fun Fact: Arne the pig was named after Arne Saknussem from Jules Verne's "Journey to the Center of the Earth". Arne was the man who first traveled to the center and inspired Professor Lindenbrock to follow him.

That concludes our educational message for today. Drive safe and don't do drugs. And stay in school, damn you!

You know, the only way this world could get better is if we took all the Interweb fanboys, stuffed them into a giant food processor, and switched it on. And then used the ensuing fluid to water our gardens. I mean, we'd lose a billion or so people, but earth would FLOURISH!

The world would be a much better place if there was more kindness.
Oh, and if a geneticly altered lab rat ruled over all.

Before each night is gone
Their plan will be unfurled
By the dawning of the sun
They'll take over the world

They're Pinky and the Brain
Yes Pinky and the Brain
Their twilight compaign
Is easy to explain!

To prove their mousy worth
They'll overthrow the Earth

They're dinky
They're Pinky and the Brain Brain Brain Brain Brain Brain Brain Brain

NARF!!!

A walking stick of bamboo called a "nichek."

... Another one of my monsters with no foundation outside of my own story.  I have a doodle of it somewhere, and it's not as stupid as that brief description sounds lol.

How about a group of pots and pans animated by a Wizard's magic?

I still say that they should somehow incorporate this into the HotIK sequel... that is if they're crazy enough to start developing it....

But, ya' know, one project at a time, I guess. ;P

Let's make Corsair the damsel in distress. Then when the hero rescues "her" he threatens the player that he'll quit his job.

No? Ok.

Actually, this could be set up as an easter-egg quest. You have to save a damsel in distress and you find out, eventually, that it's actually a guy, and his last name is Damsel.

WHAT???

Oh, dammit...

I think this is the third time I accidentally rip off something without knowing it.

1. Metallica's song The Thing That Should Not Be. I made it into a story. Then someone told me that the song was inspired by an HP Lovercraft story, written in a similar manner (I used transcripts of audio recordings and such...)

2. I wanted to write a story in which the Mice were actually leading the earth from the shadow. A guy tells me that in the Hitchhiker book (which I haven't read) the mice are responsable for creating the world.

3. After I wrote a few chapters of my story, The Panacriph, a guy told me that in a game for Nintendo, called Golden Sun, it's basically the same thing: guy walks into tower, screws things up, elements, blah blah...

No, I had no idea about either.

I've done it a couple times too.  One of my first stories (luckily I never actually wrote it down, cuz then I'd have to tear it up), "Swords to Shields," was nearly identical to the Lord of the Rings trilogy, which I had not read/watched at the time (I've now done both).  Then at the same time, the RPG I was making out of the story in my head, lol, had a system eerily reminiscent of Diablo.  I had played it, but I made the system without even realizing that's what I was doing.  Now I'm so obsessed with being precise I have over 60 individual stats, and skill levels for everything with intertwined averages and crap like that, so complicated and perfectionistic that you can no longer play it on pen and paper lol.

I actually googled most names in my book before choosing them.

Damn hard, coming up with names for a non-fanfic!!!

Title: The Hamster Fighting Machine
Post by: Reish Vedaur on July 16, 2005, 08:15:34 PM
That, I've never had a problem with.  I've always been good at it.  However...

Reish: Common misspelling of the word "resh," which is a Hebrew letter.
Jintao: President of the People's Republic of China; never heard of him 'til I looked him up.
Pakiti: Means "pack of cigarettes" in swahili.
Tyven: Means either 20 or 200 in... I can't remember what language.
D'esquille: Literally means "of shards" in french.
Kereo: Has something to do with german/dutch cars.
Repetio: Means "repeating," and is apparently a repeated spelling of the word in the Bible.

I've actually got 200+ characters... It's a little obnoxious at times, lol.
