Title: Hero6 Anniversary Celebrations
Post by: Swift on June 05, 2005, 11:47:05 AM
We have a lot of exciting goodies coming your way!

To start off, the 'Hero6 Babe Lines Contest' results have been released. Check it out here (http://www.hero6.com/visitors/forums/index.php?showtopic=512)!

We also have a new Wallpaper of the month (http://visitors.hero6.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=491&view=getlastpost), and some new emoticons!

Ta-da!

:blackguard:    :elf:  :-*    :thief: :unicorn: :dragon: :kirby:

A few existing emoticons were also remade into animated versions. To see them, you'll need to clear your cache first.

For those who are curious to find out how Hero6 began, here's PHattiE's tale (http://visitors.hero6.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=513). Special thanks to PHattiE, Yuri and Coco for putting together this article.

Finally, don't forget to turn up for the Anniversary chats, available at two timeslots (4pm and 7pm EST, 5 June). Here are the instructions (http://visitors.hero6.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=248) for joining the chatroom.

See you there!

I just realised that the new and modified emoticons can't be viewed in hero6.com/visitors. You'll have to use visitors.hero6.com to see the new and improved emoticons (after clearing your cache of course).

I'm not really sure why this happens, so for now, do use 'http://visitors.hero6.com' instead.

I couldn't attend the first session because it's 5am where I am, which was why I had arranged for two sessions. I'm in the second session.

Btw, what do you guys think of the anniversary treats?

I still can't believe I gave you a chance to have any custom title you want, and you went with "Ah Beng".

The mind of Ah Beng works in mysterious ways...

Oh, I never did answer your question on which I liked better, did I, Swift? Aside from the chat, which rocked, I think my choice would be...the wallpapers.  :D

Ah, but God of Gnomes beats all.
...
OK, it was the best I could think of. That or "Contest Winner", which flat-out sucked. I figured it aught to be semi-amusing, at least.

1337sp34k is for the retards who can't type to save their life, so they invented a new language. The only thing is, this language is a hideous bastardization of English.

Leetspeak is only so terrible now because it's become uncool, there was probably a time when it's use was limited to a smaller segment of the net and was much more accepted (by the small segment of the net).

Actually I'd call 1337$p3a|< creative(originally), but nowadays it's extremely cliche and has been used by some very idiotic acting people(giving it an even worse reputation).

Idiotic? Or just ignorant?

Back when it was used as code for hackers, it was cool. Now that it's mainstream, it's not cool anymore.

Sorry, guys, you'll have to make do without Swift for a few days. I've been nagging her to focus on her studies... which is why she asked me to admin in the first place.

Let's all wish her the best in her exams.
