Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Jafar on April 08, 2005, 11:39:51 AM
I decided to ste- *cough* I mean BORROW a game from another forum.
The Fortunately/Unfortunately game. It works a little like the CTS game.

Basiclly, you're talling a story like the CTS game, but with several ups and downs...
Here's an example.

Post one: Fortunately, it was a quiet day at Hero6
Post two: Unfortunately, Corsair started yelling about DOOM AND GLOOM!
Post three: Fortunately, Corsair ran out of breath and stopped yelling.

Get it now? Each post with a Fortunately is followed by a post with a Unfortunately, and vice versa.
Oh, and one more thing.
Wait for at least two people to post until you post again.
That was part of how the CTS game died.

Okay, lets begin.

Fortunately, the Hero6 forums had plenty of tomatoes. :P

Unfortunately, Jafar started fishing for post count.

Wait let me take another crack at that.

Unfortunately they were all rotten.

Fortunately, Jafar was able to use his mystic freakshow powers to turn them into apples.

Unfortunately, they were "wishing"(poison) apples.

Fortunately for some of us, Jafar ate one. And I usurped his position.

However, the citizens disapproved of your coming into power, so they overthrew you and elected their own ruler and government.

(That's not a fortunate or unfortunate, foo-el)

Unfortunately, Yuri was devoured by a rampaging Wolverine. Six of them, in fact.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Jafar on April 08, 2005, 05:49:52 PM
Fortunately, Yuri being devoured was all in Corsair's imagination.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Striker on April 08, 2005, 06:14:22 PM
Unfortunately, she really did still have a wolverine to deal with.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Ignus_Draconus on April 08, 2005, 09:27:05 PM
fortunately it was a small wolverine

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Corsair5 on April 09, 2005, 01:26:50 AM
Unfortunately, Corsair can't figure out whether to refer to Yuri as a she, he, or an it.

Post by: Swift on April 09, 2005, 01:52:46 AM
Fortunately, Swift proposed a simple solution - call Yuri an it.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Jigen on April 09, 2005, 02:33:42 AM
Unfortunately it STILL has a wolverine to deal with (let's keep our minds on the task people).

Fortunately Yuir closes the door between itself and wolverine

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Jafar on April 09, 2005, 03:35:34 AM
Unfortunately, the wolverine was really Wolverine, and he ripped the door down with his claws.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Jigen on April 09, 2005, 02:14:38 PM
Fortunately we used a really big magnet to suck the adamantium off his bones.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Ignus_Draconus on April 09, 2005, 05:53:48 PM
unfortunately that almost killed him, so he'll be in a coma for a week

Fortunately, we can always watch the old X-men cartoon until then. :)

Fortunately, there was a never-ending supply of chocolate and LSD-laced cookies.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Jafar on April 10, 2005, 08:02:43 AM
Unfortunately, monsters ate them all. <_<

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Swift on April 10, 2005, 12:07:57 PM
Fortunately, the monsters were terrified from Yuri's new avatar and ran away.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Jigen on April 10, 2005, 03:10:29 PM
Unfortunately Jigen doesn't see a problem with Yuri's avatar. (Just because it's as creepy as a kiddy fiddler doesn't mean it's bad)

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Corsair5 on April 11, 2005, 04:30:21 AM
Fortunately, Jigen was hung by his underwear from a pinaccle of stone twenty miles away. With a block of ice shoved down his pants.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Swift on April 11, 2005, 08:22:30 AM
Unfortunately for Corsair, it was only a daydream as the Jigen wasn't in that situation at all.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Jafar on April 11, 2005, 08:55:56 AM
Fortunately, Corsair realized the error of his ways, and became a kind, friendly, caring person. (Ah, who is he kidding? :P )

Unfortunately, Corsair's becoming image was a facade. For beneath it, lurked a whirlwind of depravity and sadism.

fortunately that's not much of a change, so we all know how to handle it.

Post by: Lord_Bierhoff on April 19, 2005, 08:57:00 PM
unfortunately, that's the truth

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Jigen on April 20, 2005, 12:52:25 PM
Fortunately we changed the subject

Hmmmm These cookies are good, kinda moorish though.

*Jigen's eyes suddenly grow to the size of dinner plates and he spends the next three hours starring at his fingers.*

Duuuuuuuuudeeeeeee!

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Lord_Bierhoff on April 20, 2005, 01:10:31 PM
unfortunately, he failed to leave any cookies for the rest of us.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Raito on April 20, 2005, 01:36:16 PM
Fortunately, there was a magic fountain which gave cookies and chocolate!!!

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Jafar on April 20, 2005, 01:58:31 PM
Unfortunately, someone put gum in it. :P

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Corsair5 on April 20, 2005, 03:51:27 PM
Fortunately, (For some of us. Like me) The gum was actually a cyanide tablet, and now everything that comes out of the fountain is deadly.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Ignus_Draconus on April 20, 2005, 09:38:57 PM
unfortunately, the rest of the members of the board were forced to tie corsair to a glacier for his incorrigible pessimism

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Lord_Bierhoff on April 21, 2005, 02:08:11 PM
Fortunately, the glacier was in antartica

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Jigen on April 21, 2005, 02:23:35 PM
And unfortunately (for Corsair) it began to sink.

*Jigen sees something shiny and immediately goes over and stares at it with his mouth hanging open*

Purdy!

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Brassfire on April 22, 2005, 03:55:28 AM
Fortunately for the rest of us.

(Seriously, Corsair, why do you hang around here if you don't like anyone?)

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Jafar on April 22, 2005, 06:16:53 AM
Unfortunately, the "shiny" Jigen found turned out to be some of that cursed treasure that turns ya into a skeleton. :P

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Jigen on April 23, 2005, 02:20:14 AM
*Skeletal Jigen stares at cursed aztec gold.*

Oooooooooh

Fortunately all the gold is here, so this 'no-skin' look won't be permanent.

*The LSD wears off leaving Jigen to crash. As his head starts to hurt he stumbles away from the pirate loot.*

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Raito on April 23, 2005, 11:07:47 AM
Unfortunately, Jafar got into a skirmish with some of the forum members and was shoved into a pit by mistake. Despite his pleas for help, the others were too busy fighting to notice him.

Just as he thought he was safe, his LSD-induced state(yes, he had stolen some cookies for himself!!!) had begun to wear off. He felt something coil around his arm and turned around to look into the face of an anaconda. :P

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Striker on April 23, 2005, 09:26:58 PM
Fortunately, he soon recognized that it was just a rope, not a snake. Silly LSD.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Jigen on April 24, 2005, 04:26:44 AM
Unfortunately, this meant he too was comming down from the high and so Jafar and Jigen ended up sitting back to back in the middle of the floor, holding their aching skulls and moaning in pain.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Raito on April 24, 2005, 08:56:55 PM
Fortunately, there was a small tunnel at the side of the pit. They managed to crawl their way out, wondering why there were so many skeletons in the pit. Perhaps it had once been a dungeon for keeping criminals but someone had forgotten about them? After all, the village had been abandoned once during a forgotten war.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Jafar on April 24, 2005, 09:18:22 PM
Unfortunately, the reason why the villiage was abandoned because one army in the war resorted to using stink bombs.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Striker on April 26, 2005, 12:31:55 AM
Fortunately, they had lost their noses in that war as well...

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Jigen on April 27, 2005, 08:07:41 AM
Unfortunately the residual stink still remained.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Lord_Bierhoff on April 27, 2005, 12:41:07 PM
fortunately Delor found some nice sented candles

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Striker on April 27, 2005, 05:32:49 PM
Unfortunately, they were Roman Candles.

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Ignus_Draconus on April 27, 2005, 07:44:29 PM
fortunately Delor was far away from anything else that was flammable

Title: The Fortunately/Unfortunately game
Post by: Corsair5 on April 30, 2005, 12:53:44 AM
Unfortunately, Delor was up a tree with his underwear over his head.

unfortuantely, corsair was the one dreaming it
