What kind of Easter Eggs should Hero7 include? Can any of you think of any other Movie refrences that should be in it?

I was thinking of "History of the World" refrences such as "It would take a Miracle to save us," and "Jews in Space."

Also, did anyone else notice that the "Jews in Space" song is the same as the "Men in Tights" song, except the different words.

At one point, have MONKEYS come flying out of a bush, chasing after a terrified Guybrush Creepwood (THREEPwood.).

It doesn't have to be just movie references. We could also have pop culture references, game references, and inside jokes.

Game references could include commercial games as well as fan projects.

Pop culture easter eggs could be on Reality TV programmes (like how there's so many of them), Harry Potter, etc.

Inside jokes should be quite fun to do. Like we could have the Hero notice a long staff, and if he clicked on it, the message could be "You suddenly have this unexplained urge to bonk heads with it". Or perhaps have all the "R"s substituted with "W"s at one point. Or the Hero meeting a man with amazing pockets. Or have him eat pink marshmallows. Or perhaps let the Hero meet me and let me polymorph him, and then whip him later! (Kidding)

I remember previously that there was talk of having "Will the dancing skeleton",  but I'm not sure if he'll be in the game.

I love the idea of inside jokes about the community. Maybe a pocket lint refrence...

And maybe have a guy in full black armor in a tavern, drinking a beer and yammering on about Avoozl.

I love those ideas!  (Obviously, I'm completely unbiased in regards to the r/w switch ;))

I'd love to have a reference to baba yaga or mandrake roots in Hero7  ^_^  

Or have a weird red thing sticking out of the ground in the graveyard, and if you try to grab it, it sends up a weird shriek?

That would be something interesting to have in the Tavern. Only like 5 people in the world will know why its so funny, but it'd be great. And it would also be a refrence to QG4 and Avoozl at the same time.

 

And have every like five sentences have the guy in black armor say "Corsair made me do it..evil...avoozl..mughubba."

Maybe some Herocia (http://www.herocia.com) references too? Since Herocia was born in the Hero6 forums, it's only fitting to mention that novel project briefly during the game.

Maeby you could have a part where you can hear Oscar Horatio Ginsborne Esquire the Third and his bro, Felix arguing, as usual. :P

Except without Voice Packs, how could you hear them?

They did it with text in QFG1 with the baker and the butcher, they could do it in Hero6 or 7.

These are all great, but we need more.

Maybe we could include a <<LINK REMOVED BY ADMINISTRATION TEAM>> refrence. I know this is supposed to be a kids game, but the kids won't get it (or be offended by it) and the people who do get it will think it great.

ndcent, as you've pointed out, children will play this game. Not only that, but some parents will play it with their children. I do not think these parents will like the idea of having such mature references in the game, even if these children don't understand the joke. Not only that, but jokes of this nature can have varying effects on people. Some of them will be offended by it, like Corsair pointed out. Please do not post such links in the future. Thank you.

With all the sexual refrences in "Road Runner and Coyote" among other cartoons, as well as the amount of sex on TV, a refrence to a specific word (which I won't mention again) seems very minimal. When any of you were children, I seriously doubt that the sexual connotations that go along with many of the RRaC episodes offended you.

Also, Corsair, I doubt you actually got to the content of that link, judging by your tone. The site I linked to is to report usages of that word, nothing more, and I'm sure I can get this conversation mentioned on it. The word is defined "in honor" of Rick Santorum (http://santorum.senate.gov).

 

Sexual references in Roadrunner & Coyote? Most of Roadrunner and Coyote consists of Coyote trying to kill roadrunner and instead harming himself to the point of death.

And most of the QFG jokes were puns based on what you were looking at. What, do you expect them to have sexual scenes in the game or something?!?

ndcent, that link of yours also contained links to porn sites. Even if the reference was mild (highly unlikely though, as a number of people have already pointed out), it would have been removed anyway because of those pornographic materials. Really, it's a family forum, and such websites aren't allowed here.

Ndecent, stop rationalizing it, apologize, and say you made a mistake. There is no excuse for putting the link to a site which very name refers to sex.

Also, the site you JUST set up a link to has several inappropriate words for young audiences (F-word, people.) and has many references to sexual actions. Please remove the link BEFORE SWIFT DOES IT FOR YOU! Ndecent, let me tell you something. If I had Admin rights on this board, you'd be banned for a month for this crap.

Try clicking on the 'history' link on that word for that site, and scroll down to the bottom. That's where I found those links.

Anyway, I'd like for all of you to cease discussing this topic. We've all made our points, and there's no need to continue discussing it.

Corsair, I agree with Swift's decision, but there's really no need to be such a toady all the time.  It's really ugly.

I've read through that Wikipedi link you provided, ndcent and removed it from your post, as it contained a link to the very website which you were warned for posting. I'll be adjusting your warning level, because you disregarded the warnings issued by both Pwincess and I and went ahead with posting that. Seriously, enough about this, or this topic will be locked.

You're seriously asking for it, Ndecent. Links are different from search engines. Search engines can be used to search from anything from Porno to Barney and Friends. Don't try to rationalize your bad behavior.
