While I'll agree that the generic evil demon thing from QG3 was lame, I loved the way that you kill it as a Wizard. The only complaint is that in QG4 if you Trigger Erana's staff, it destroys the whole town, but if you Trigger your own staff, it's safe to be in the same room. Title: Who was the coolest Villain? (Slitting poor ol' Nikolai's throat was amusing.)

Title: Who was the coolest Villain? Post by: ndcent168 on February 01, 2005, 04:29:40 AM If I'm not mistaking, if you stand too close to the Centaur's Staff as you Trigger it in QG5, you get hurt too.
It must be that the "strength" of a staff is related to the damage that it does when triggered. Hence, Erana's Staff killing a town, the Shaman's staff killing just you and him, and the Centaur's staff just does damage. The only exception to this is when you trigger your own staff at the end of QG3. There, the Magical Portal Orb probably absorbs the magical explosion. And this brings me to an idea for Hero7: We need to Trigger some other Magic User's staff. Title: Who was the coolest Villain?
