May I know why this is in the Offtopic forum instead of the RPS forum?

I didn't write what my weapon for the reason that Ignus has mentioned. It's in the profile now.

Corsair, I could try contacting the others about this RP.

Name: Melkie Roverdell

Age: 17

Species: Human

Gender: Male

Class: Fighter

Equipment: Ordinary long sword. Nothing of significance

Personality: Tries very hard to compensate for his lack of talent or ability. Thinks he's destined for greatness someday. Hates being insulted. Has a good heart, but hasn't fully grasp the concept of being a hero yet. Deep down inside, he's afraid of being a nobody.

Appearance: Scrawny, tall, fair-skinned pimply boy with short, dark brown hair and green eyes.

History: Born out of wedlock, young Melkie was often cruelly taunted in school for having no father. One day, he ran home to his mother, teary-eyed, and asked who his father was, only to learn that his father was a famous knight, and that he was still out there slaying dragons and rescuing princesses. Of course, no one else believed this story, but Melkie did, and he believed that he could be a legendary hero, just like his dad. Since that day, he's been training hard in swordplay. He longs for the day he'll get to meet his father.

I voted for a new adventure set in Glorianna but I wouldn't mind any story, really.
7  The Hero6 Project / Hero6 Role Playing Stories / Re: Restarting the RPS on: March 17, 2008, 04:45:16 AM
Sorry for the late post. I'd love to see the RPS running again, though I can't attend a chat-based RPS because my schedule is hectic right now. If you can organize one and have a small group of people to join you, more power to you. In fact, you could just RP with one other person, and it should be sufficient. I used to just RP with Jafar a lot in the AGDI chatroom because he was the only one available.

I'm more in favour of a forum-based RP, since there won't be a conflict of time schedules and everyone can chip in whenever they're free. You can have more than one RP running at the same time this way.
8  The Hero6 Project / Hero6 Discussion / Re: Am dying. Will I live to see this game? on: March 10, 2008, 08:35:15 AM
Yes, there is a "lock-down" point for new content. If someone wants to replace something later on, the team will determine whether it's feasible to do so, and whatever doesn't work or isn't practical to implement is put aside. However, if improvements can be made to the existing work easily and quickly, then the team's for it, but once the team feels it's reached the point of diminishing returns, it usually stays "stoned". It's all about striking the right balance between quality and getting it done asap.

This is something we might look into in the near future. Thank you for your feedback.

Well, since none of us here can look into the future, we can't tell you whether the game would be made before or after you die, but it will be made. Does that answer your question?
11  The Hero6 Project / Hero6 Discussion / Re: Some idle observations on: December 21, 2007, 11:57:41 AM
Thank you for your offer, but we're sticking with AGS, and the game will be free to the public when it's ready.

I do agree with your point about not going public with anything until significant progress is made, which is why there hasn't been any announcements for several months.

FYI, Hero6 was never managed like a business. It has and always will be a community where people contributed work as and when they were able to.

p.s. the cheesy "Brad Pitt in hero clothing" portrait on the vistor's homepage doesn't exactly give a positive impression either. Do you have permission to use his likeness, by the way?

Really? If I'm not mistaken, SE (the one who drew that picture) modeled the portrait after her boyfriend (who isn't Brad Pitt, by the way). Art is subjective. You and everyone else see what you want to see, but should other people's portraits not be used at all just because some (perhaps a few) might mistake theirs for a certain celebrity's?

Regardless, thank you for your feedback. We're aware of the issue and we're taking care of it. As of right now, the whole team cares more about getting it done than to worry about what others think of it, and I'll leave it at that.

Yeah, you've been out of the loop. Lots of folks knew about it.

It'll be done when it's done.

Darkseed's helping us install the wiki. He'd have done it sooner but there were certain unexpected delays.
