32  The Hero6 Project / Game Development Discussion / Re: How would YOU reinvent the adventure game genre? on: May 05, 2006, 12:55:34 PM
And lots of gamers don't give a rats arse about storyline I find.
Trouble is, in game making, you need a subtle storyline to manage the writing of the action. Otherwise you could develop something stupid and random

Wait you mean Hero6 signals the end of an era rather than the rebirth of one? Wouldn't a finished Hero6 serve as inspiration to others to keep making new fangames?

Well it already has. Sadly that seems to be all Hero6 is in its long production life.

37  The Hero6 Project / Offtopic Mayhem / Question on: August 23, 2005, 01:59:55 AM
It could indeed take another few years. Bet anyone?

Hero6 is definitely getting cooler. I myself will try to make sure of that.
And as SilverBolt rightly pointed out, there are bugs. MANY bugs with every testdemo released to us. A game with the complexity of Hero6 has a infinite capacity for glitches just like with AGDI right now.

You'll love it when you get it. Why? Because we want it to be good! And we will wait as long as it takes to make it good!

Down to our teams new found experience, I do believe that Hero7 will not take as long as Hero6 is.
