16  The Hero6 Project / Offtopic Mayhem / Re: What's been happening? on: January 22, 2008, 02:41:12 PM
Hi,

Well I can tell you Hero6 is still happening. I did some work on it recently. Don't give up on us yet. I recently did some work making prototype new backgrounds.

The extensive backstory was a problem and we have cut back on this for a simpler storyline that the player can understand easier. The plot has been seriously reworked and is being used to implement the game.

So progress is being made I guarantee. Perhaps more progress than ever before now that a better defined plot is in motion.

You got any other questions?   Cool

Our current programming positions are full right now. Delegating programming work is not easy right now.

Just to be clear. Thats an internal demo. Not a public demo. Although a public demo might be necessary at some point.

No public forum can ever be a family forum on the Internet what with the risk of spammers and flame wars.

We are not in beta stage. I'm not sure why alpha was declared upon Hero6 as the amount of serious bugs right to iron out right now is huge. I ain't played the internal demo in a while but i think quite a lot of the fundamental quests were implemented. But a lot of work is required on the feel-good factor. Much of the work is rough and will still need much work before Hero6 is ready for beta testing.

Wow. They are tough positions considering you'll have to familiarise yourself with all current art and plot that relates to that art etc.

In terms of news, there isn't a great deal on what to tell you.

But we have recently established a new council for major Hero6 dealings and decisions.
I also just begun testing a new system I developed for stat improvement via combat but not even the internal members seem to be aware of it yet.

Not much to say progress wise which has been slowed due to major plot revisions.

Very buggy indeed.

I am not totally blown away by this update like I was with AGDI games.

But it highlights an interesting lost chapter in KQ about how daventry fell to the curse of the dragon in the first place.
