Cool! Another resurected topic!

Can't recognise the music though.   :(  

I think it might be from Ecoquest 2, but I haven't played that game in a long time.

I'll give you a clue, it's not EcoQuest  :P

Btw, so far my little brother has guessed EVERY song I've placed up here (I've played them through my headset, with the speaker on the phone, and he correctly guessed every song) lol.

Never posted before...  but I couldn't help myself after hearing the clip.
That'd definitely be coming from one of the Dr. Brain series games.  If I'm not mistaken the Island of Dr. Brain to be specific.  Brings back some memories.

Actually now that I finally put more thought into it, it does sound like something from Dr. Brain. I can't place my finger on it, but wow.

I remember playing said game in my earlier, earlier years. It sure was a fun game, and yes, it does sound like something out of this game.

I played Island of Dr Brain before, but I don't recall any of the music. :(

You're right.  The song's a little too lively.  
In that case, if I'm entitled to a second chance, I'd guess "Day of the Tentacle."

It's the ending of Space Quest 1. Or it's that Bar in Space Quest 1. I'm *so* sure of it. I'm just listening to bar after bar of both, and they sound *soooo* similar!

I can safely tell you that it doesn't come from any space quest game simply because I have never played any of them.

I thought the ending of SQ1 was just the music from the start of the game.

My music file came from Monkey Island 2 (anthology pack, released 2002). It was the intro music. All the songs in that game alone were different from the one you're probably used to.

Rats. I've only played the first MI game.

Even if you had played the second game, you might not have heard of this music unless you actually bought the anthology pack containing this game. I've tried looking for a music file that sounded similar on the monkey island fansites but couldn't find any. Heh, I think I'll let those sites know of the alternative music someday.

Hmm...The first one reminds me of Mega Man...and the second seems familar, but I can't put my finger on it.

The second one sounds like "A whole new world" from Disney's Aladdin, or at least part of it, so I'm guessing Aladdin.

#10 sounds too like Tie-Fighter for me to pass up the guess.  The instruments are right i.e. the drums, horns, synthesizer and the theme seems almost imperial.

Outside of adventure games, I'd say Tie-Fighter had to be one of my all-time favorites.  Of course, if I were a true fan, I'd know with certainty whether this sample actually came from it.  Hmmm...

Really, I'm not sure which Zelda game that song came from, but I was so excited about making my first registered post that I decided I'd take a stab in the dark and choose Ocarina of Time.

As a side:  I'm quite surprised someone already chose Corvuus as a handle...  I've only seen that name in Planescape: Torment.  Oh well, Corbin means about the same thing, so that'll have to do!

Easy. My third or fourth favorite KQ game, KQ5. I tried arranging a bunch of this music for a band project, failed miserably and ended up doing the Cid Theme (Uber Dramatic) from FF7. *shrugs*

Coming from a stage-band bred point of view, there's nothing wrong with too much bass.

I have a subwoofer turned way up on my stereo actually. That's why my pieces seem so empty all over the net and stuff; Nobody else seems to have a good, decent sub coming with their stereo systems that will make the bass as heavy and wonderful on their systems. They get treble. Hmm.

Well...  the song's pretty peaceful and if I had to make a wild guess I'd say that this clip occurs during the nightly discussions at camp after the day's event has been completed.  :unsure:

I should have been paying more attention to this forum, because I knew right off the bat that the music was from Wing Commander: Privateer (one of my favorite games of all time).  It's the music played when you're on Planet Oxford.

I actually got my 900MHz computer to play it in straight DOS a few years ago (I have the version bundled with Righteous Fire).  It was just as fun then as it was all those years ago.  There are only a few games I can say that about...

Heh I've actually got a 486 laying around somewhere I just got to find a cd drive for the thing then playing all those old games won't be a problem.
