1  The Hero6 Project / Game Development Discussion / Re: Mad Adventure Game engine on: December 25, 2007, 03:03:15 PM
It's a shame, it isn't supported on Linux yet.
As an Ubuntu user, I would love to be able to make Linux-compatible games with MAD. (Though, I would love a simple interface similar to AGS running on top of it!)

Oh, nice. Always love a good parody.  Grin
Indeed it is.
And if you like that, you should check out our other projects (or at the very least register and post on our forums, it's like dead there)

Dumb Quest I-Quest for the Town
This is an original game by Dogma Day Games. It's basically a spin-off of the King's Quest series, and yes, there are many references to the Sierra universe.
THE STORY:
All is not well in the land of Alphredtry. The kingdom lost a major war with it's Southern enemy, Anaface. Alpredtry is extremely poor. The Kingdom's treasury is nearly empty, and there are no knights.
Meet Bob. He is a bartender, and the hero of our story. The game begins when Bob gets a letter from Anaface telling him he hasn't paid his taxes, and they will be taking his bar. Bob decides he needs to make money.
So he becomes knighted, and is renamed Sir Robert Tavern. He has to fix up the crappy town, and get 3 items. He must get the diamond from the biggest tree in Butt-Crack Forest, the Sword from the king of Anaface, and a pizza to feed Alphredtry's overweight lazy king.
Robert will make many allies, and he will travel to many random places and face extreme peril.

Now, how about some screenshots?

Amazing, you get to pick things up in this game!

The rundown Castle Gluteus Maximus of Alphredtry

A quit system similar to the good old King's Quest games!

Meet weird, quirky characters like the Random Stuff stand guy!

Go to unique places, battle wicked enemies, and do idiotic side quests!

PROGRESS:
Initial progress so far has been extremely slow.
Backgrounds- 15%
Sprites- 10%
Cutscenes- 0%
Dialogue portraits- 6%
storyline- 95%
scripting- 30%

We are desperately in need of background artists and sprite artists.

Lol, it's just my bizzare way of thinking.
5  The Hero6 Project / Project Networking / Re: Peasant's Quest VGA on: June 11, 2006, 01:52:08 AM
Ah, yes.
Actually, I did give up on this project...BUT...
I've been working on a new game for the past year...something original...something way different.
And it's expected to come out April 1st, 2007 (Not PQVGA, my other game)

I guess you've heard of a different blob then, cuz the "Blob" I know of was a really bad movie about a blob that ate human flesh.
lol, yeah. Never saw the blob myself.
Anyway, back on topic, I really would like somebody to join AWFC. It would be nice to actually see active members on there.

Nevermind..the Blob is a TV Program that appears on American Television. I never really watched it, but I have deduced that it is about a blob and said blob's adventures.
Yeah...never saw the Blob. But still...anyways.
I'm setting up a "Special Offer"
The first 20 people to join the Alex Woo Fan Club forums gets their own...custom title.
Yeah.
And furthermore, I'm starting up serveral clubs. If you want a club for you set up on it (maily to hide your own forums from hackers) just send me a PM.

Thanks. Mind you, the site will eventually get a real host, not crappy freewebs.
10  The Hero6 Project / Offtopic Mayhem / The Alex Woo Fanclub on: July 28, 2005, 06:07:57 PM
Hey, people, check this out. It's the fanclub for my good friend, Mr. Alexander Kelly Woo. He's just a fat kid with an afro. But I'm trying the unthinkable- turning an ordinary kid into a celebrity, just by telling people about his fanclub. check it out!
The site is at www.freewebs.com/alexwoofanclub (I'm too cheap to get real sites)
and his boards are at http://alexwoofanclub.ezforum.org/
I need more members, stir up some contraversy, people!
11  The Hero6 Project / Hero6 Discussion / Would you audition... on: July 08, 2005, 06:12:33 PM
Heh, I'd like to audition for this.
If you need a creepy sounding evil master, I'm your man.
If you need a villager, I'm your man.
And if you need a funny Irish lerpecaun, I'm your man.
I can do a wide variety of voices, so if you guys want me to, just pm me.

Okay, awesome.

Both.
14  The Hero6 Project / Project Networking / Peasant's Quest VGA on: April 30, 2005, 01:53:28 PM
Okay, some of you already know this, but just to let everyone know, I'm doing a VGA remake of Peasant's Quest. The original Peasant's Quest was a huge hit some 8 or 9 months ago, so I figured someone might as well do a remake, and that someone should be me.
Here's some screenies:

Rather Dashing's burninated hut.

Rather Dashing swearing revenge.

The road to Trogdor.

This also sports a new kind of interface. It's pretty much the same as any KQ one, except it's a custom design, and also there's screenshots in the save games, as well as a bow and arrow interface.

Our site is at www.freewebs.com/dogmadaygames

We're currently looking for team members, such as more background artists, dialogue portait artists, puzzle artists, and musicians, as well as someone who can make forums.

The release date is scheduled for late September 2005.
Cheers!
