1  The Hero6 Project / Hero6 Discussion / Re: Reflections on: October 04, 2010, 01:33:52 PM
This project is dead.  I think people just need to let it go - release all the work, source, demos, and let someone else make a version of it.  Such a shame.

Those were the days.  I mean, I was really excited to find communities that stilll loved adventure games - I happened upon things like AGS and AGDI around 2001 - and I was surprised by the traffic.  I looked forward to my daily forum visits and had many wonderful conversations and met many awesome people.  (Meeting people on forums directly lead to the creation of Infamous Adventures!)

I miss the busier times, and I realize people grow, change and move on.  I think that when several of the new projects on the horizon come out (QFG2VGA, SQ2VGA, Hero6) the forums will fill back up again - and suddenly, we'll find ourselves in another rennaisance.

To see this forum sparsely populated makes me sad;  it makes me recall a time when it was booming, and teeming with hope.

Actually, a lot of the adventure game website forums are a lot less populated than they were just a few years ago.

Sometimes things just get stale.

I'm sure when something of substance happens, it'll come through.

Things take time, heh.

The family is a myth, created to make us feel better and more organized.  Much like the concept of God.

I like Spam.  It's a rather tasty canned meat product.

i still didn't like the game o_O
partly because i dislike the AGS default UI, but mainly because you were out to save tomatos, and the king pronounced it ta-mah-toe

Yeah, it was awesome.

Let me tell you Hero6 fans, your game is in great hands.  The Hero6 time is TOP NOTCH.  Amazing.

I had a great time working with all involved.  I hope you enjoyed the game.  It was fun for a prank game, eh?  I even had trouble solving the riddles.

And the Turban joke.....rocked.

Yeha.....

All things aside, Cain was kicked out of IA for some divergent behavior.  He has a problem with some changes we plan to implement in the future, and he's being rather immature about it all.

He doesn't agree with what we're going to be doing, and instead of bowing out gracefully, he's being a pain.

As for us, we'll discuss the upcoming changes to IA soon on our site.

Cain,

Quit bein' a dink.  I know you can't help it because your testicles are shrivled and weak, but try.

Sincerely,
