Not CAPTAIN Planet. CARTOON Planet.
See, back in the day on Cartoon Network, they had these little segments with Brak, Zorak and Space Ghost in between programming of things like.. Yogi Bear and Scooby Doo. Anyway, as it turned out the little segments were actually more popular than the shows that they were in between, so they combined them all together into a single program which they called Cartoon Planet.
Yeah.
But Captain Planet was just terrible.

I could swear there was a time when "Heart!" wasn't one of the powers and they added Mac'ti (however you spell it, who cares?) in just to complete the overgeneralized cultural spectrum. Oh, and don't forget their monkey. Or Gaia, who of course already has all the powers of the Planet Pals (or whatever their name was) yet somehow feels the need to give them to five kids who regularly wreck their "eco-friendly" chopper.
